Cold Air Intake - Submitted by Luckydvl Note: This is a 2.5 inch intake. 1. Start by taking off the heatshield. It should be a 10mm nut and some plastic nuts in the front of the car holding it.
2. Begin to unhook the battery.
3. Remove the bracket that secures the battery in place. Use an extension to reach the bolt easily.
4. Loosen the stock intake tubing using a Phillips head screwdriver.
5. Remove the stock box from the throttle body.
6. Remove the bottom part of the airbox.
Picture with the pieces removed:
7. Unbolt the intake tubing that goes into the lower front bumper/fender.
Optional: Remove the battery tray if extra room is needed.
8. If needed, increase the size of the hole that leads to the lower front bumper/fender.
9. Add a protective barrier (tape) to the sides of the hole to protect the intake.
10. Attach one silicone couplers to the throttle body.
11. Attach the correct piece of intake tubing to the throttle body coupler.
12. Attach the second half of the intake tubing.
13. Remove the driver's side front wheel and then the fenderwall sheild. Attach the filter to the intake using another silicone coupler.
