Tein Super Street Coilovers - Submitted by only1db

Note: These coilovers are sold for the GK Tiburon (2003-2004), but work on all Elantra XD's.

1. Jack up the car (reccomended: use any jack but the one included with your Elantra).

2. Place jack stands under each corner.

3. Take off each wheel.

4. Loosen the circled bolts. Note: This is the finished product, stock struts will look different.

5. Take out the circled bolts/screws. Note: The speed sensor is circled on the left because it is screwed to the stock strut. Use a zip tie to secure this after installation of new coilovers.

5a. On the rear assembly pull this brake line clip off. It is not bolted like the fronts.

6. Unbolt the bolts from picture one completely and pull out the strut assembly. Pictured below are the rear assemblies (new and old).

7. Replace with the new Tein coilovers. Note: The front assemblies need to be switched from side to side (right to the left and left to the right).

8. Tighten all the bolts. Air tools are NOT reccomended.

9. Put the wheels back on, lower the car to the ground, and tighten the lug nuts.

10. Tighten the large nut in the center of the strut assembly. It will not tighten completely, but that is normal.

11. The coilovers are set at the hardest (most extreme) setting. Adjust as needed. Do not go past 16 clicks in either direction.
