OBX Crank Pulley - Submitted by FordFasteRR 1. Loosen the tensioners for the alternator and the A/C compressor. 2. Remove the dust cover on the passengers side. NOTE: Remove only a small part that covers the belts. 3. Using some sort of impact device, remove the crank pulley bolt.
4. Use some grease or something on the inside of the pulley to let it slip on easier. Place it on the crank as best you can, be sure to line up the notch PERFECTLY.
5. Using the impact device, hammer the bolt back down all the way. You can tell if you went all the way in because the copper colored plate behind the pulley will vibrate until its snugly tight.
6. Put the new belts back on in this order: A/C belt. (belt part #: 5040315 - 4pk0800) Alternator belt. (part #: 5040330 - 4pk0840) 7. Tighten the tensioners until the belts are nice and tight. NOTE: Do not overtighten. Comparison pictures:
