Running Wires through the Firewall - Submitted by Carbonman

Tools and Equipment Needed:

10mm socket w/extension (1/4" size ratchet)
6" x 1/2" of plastic / brass / metal Tubing
Knife or Sharp screwdriver
All electrics you plan to run throught the firewall

1. Engine Compartment- Remove three 10 mm nuts from black cover. Pull cover asway from firewall and find a way to prop it away from the bundled wires. After you have the black cover separated and held back away from the firewall you will notice a trumpet looking rubber grommet. Cut or poke a small slit into this rubber grommet with your knife or screwdriver being careful not to cut the wires underneath it. Using the 1/2" Tubing or flex coupler. Slide that through the hole and leave a good amount protruding into the engine compartment and into the passenger area.

2. Passenger Compartment- Remove the side panel from the drivers side dash board using a flathead screw driver and prying from the side closest to the steering wheel outwards. Remove the 2x 10mm bolts as shown by the arrows. Remove all attached wires and connectors from the back of the lower dash portion.

3. Under the Dash- Looking up and into the dash area, right behind the stereo towards the firewall you will see where the tubing you used to come through the firewall is protruding into the passenger compartment.

4. Feeding the Wire- Go back to the engine compartment and easily feed any wires or hoses you need straight into the engine compartment through the length you left protruding into the engine area from before. Go into the passenger area and pull the wires through the firewall while not worrying about fraying or otherwise damaging the wires.
