Headlight Haze Removal - Submitted by ArunSenior04 Materials Needed: 2000 Grit Wet Sandpaper (available at most auto stores in paint section) Meguiar's Plastic Cleaner & Polish Bucket Towel Total Cost: Less than $10 Total Time: At least an hour per light This is how mine looked (after pics below directions): ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() WARNING: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU USE THE WRONG GRIT SANDPAPER OR PRODUCT TO DO THIS...... 1. Get some luke warm water in a bucket. 2. Tear a piece off the sandpaper and dip it in the water. 3. Begin to sand the headlight. 4. Every few seconds (5-10), dip the sandpaper in the bucket of water. 5. About every 5-10 minutes, wipe the headlight off with a cloth. 6. Put about a quarter size amoint of the plastic cleaner/polish on a wax applicator, or towel, or spread it on the headlight using force. 7. Buff the polish off the headlight using a dry towel. (Note: You use force. Immediately you shield begin to notice a difference.) 8. Repeats steps 2-7 until you achieve a beautiful clear, smooth, headlight. (Note: When you start to sand up a sticky like substance, you are near completion.) I recommend that you wax them after you finish to prevent the haziness from coming back.
