Shifter Linkage Bushing Install/Upgrade - Submitted by evan938 Tools needed: Needle nose pliers Flat head screw driver (to push bushing out if your fingers don't get it) Shop light 1. Remove the cotter pin from the black covered bushing. From there lift up the linkage and push out the bushing. I used a screwdriver, took about 15 seconds of trying at it. After that put 2 metal/poly bushings on each side, put back on post, put washer back on and cotter pin back in. 2. Remove the smaller linkage bushing where you can see part of the cotter pin. Pull pin out, lift linkage off, push out bushing. This one came out a little easier for me. Put smaller metal/poly bushings on each side, put back on post, put washer on and cotter pin in.
