Whiteline Adjustable Rear Sway Bar - Submitted by only1db

Materials Needed:

Ratchet set
12mm & 14mm sockets
14mm open ended wrench or vice grips
Two jack stands
Jack

1. Use the jack to lift the car.

2. Lower the car onto the jack stands.

3. Remove the sway bar link nuts these are 14mm (mine are 17mm) if you have the stock plastic links you will need a 14mm open ended wrench to put on the one side to loosen the nut, or it will just keep spinning. Then remove the 12mm bolts that hold the swaybar bushings on. Repeat for other side.

4. Get underneath the car and push/pull the bar out. Its can be a little tricky but just turn it and it will come right out.

Stock bar versus Whiteline bar:

5. Now position the Whiteline bar. (Hint the driverside will have the sticker with the part number on it. It is BRZ something. Again just try to twist and turn until you get it in there.)

6. Lube up the poly bushings with the supplied lube. Put the lube on both the bar and the bushing. Do this after the bar is almost in place to avoid making a mess with the lube.

7. Bolt everything back up the same way you took it off. Bolt the bushings onto the body first then the sway bar endlinks.

8. To adjust the stiffness of the bar just move the endlink from the most outer hole (18mm) to which ever one you prefer.
