acpbrian 2006 Hyundai Elantra GLS Sedan How long have you owned your Elantra? Since April 1st, 2006. I was the very first customer to the brand new Hyundai dealership in my town. Brand new off the lot with under 15 miles on it. Is there anything special, unique, or different concerning the history of your Elantra? Nothing to report. Honestly, what was your intention when you bought your Elantra? I wanted a cheap, reliable, great warranty, great gas mileage, 4 door, all purpose car. I kept trying to convince myself not to change anything on it. I changed the radio out and it was downhill from there (still rolling). What was your intention after discovering EXD (or other Hyundai forums)? After beginning to modify my Elantra I felt I needed to become part of an Elantra community. I knew that doing this would greatly help myself out. EXD was great for that, after seeing some of the best looking vehicles in their class on here it greatly inspired me to start modifying. In one word describe the style of your Elantra. Sharp. Who helped modify your Elantra? Everything was done by me with the exception of the stereo system. A good buddy of mine donated some of his time to the cause. What do you like most about your Elantra? The wheels definitely. As soon as I put the wheels on the car it completely drew the entire car together. The 15% tint also helped greatly. What do you like least about your Elantra? I don't particularly care for how the rear of the car looks at all. However, it is something I am looking into for the future. What modification is next for your Elantra? Some custom interior styling is next. On a scale from 0-10, how would you rate your Elantra? All things considered, 7.5, the car is just about the way I want it and it looks good at the same time. Most commonly, what do people say about your Elantra? Normally things like: "There's no way that's a Hyundai!" Followed up by: "That's the nicest Hyundai I've ever seen!" Who is allowed to drive your Elantra? Myself and a good friend of mine Josh. What is the most outrageous thing you have wanted to do to your car that you have not been able to do? Air bag suspension to sit the car on the frame. Unfortunately I have wheels that don't allow for such an aggressive drop. What kind of car did you own (or drive) before your Elantra? In order of first to now: 1991 Eagle Talon TSI, 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX, 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT (still own). Realistically, what kind of car is next? 2010ish BMW M series or 5 series.
