SilverElantra 2006 Hyundai Elantra GLS How long have you owned your Elantra? I have owned my Elantra since 2006. I bought it brand new, off the lot, with only 26 miles on it. I put 20 of those 26 miles on it test driving it. I bought it as a replacement for my 2004 Accent that was demolished by a 78 year old lady, in a G35, that decided red lights were not for her. Is there anything special, unique, or different concerning the history of your Elantra? Nope not really. Honestly, what was your intention when you bought your Elantra? My initial intention was to buy a more "grown up" four door car and not modify it. That lasted a week and a half! What was your intention after discovering EXD (or other Hyundai forums)? I had discovered EXD and visited the site when I still had my Accent. I was always interested in doing a beta swap. After I bought the Elantra I decided I wanted to not only do something different by driving a Hyundai, but also to make it stand out in the Hyundai community as well. I think i have accomplished that. In one word describe the style of your Elantra. Different. Who helped modify your Elantra? Mostly my buddy Patrick and I. California Mufflers for my exhaust. Cashman Custom for painting of my grill, painting and install of my KDM side skirts. Everything else was/is done by me. What do you like most about your Elantra? Everything. I love getting into my car every day. Gives me a sense of pride knowing what my car used to look like and that I did it mostly on own. If I had to pick one thing I would definitely have to say my Maintec GT header. What do you like least about your Elantra? I would have to say my interior as I have just begun working on it. What modification is next for your Elantra? Ok I'm gonna come out and say it as I have kept it a secret. Im going widebody with custom SLR fender inserts. On a scale from 0-10, how would you rate your Elantra? 7. It's not completely where I want it yet. Most commonly, what do people say about your Elantra? "What? That's a Hyundai? WTF!!!!" and "What kind of car is that?" and "That is the cleanest Hyundai I have ever seen." Who is allowed to drive your Elantra? Me and on very limited occasions my girlfriend. What is the most outrageous thing you have wanted to do to your car that you have not been able to do? Supercharge! What kind of car did you own (or drive) before your Elantra? 1991 Pontiac 6000LE V6 and 2004 Hyundai Accent hatchback. Realistically, what kind of car is next? Either 2007+ Nissan 350z or 2006 Subaru WRX wagon.
