zx2uner 2003 Hyundai Elantra GT Hatchback How long have you owned your Elantra? I bought my car in July 2005, and couldn't pick it up until late August 2005. I pulled it home on August 12th. Is there anything special, unique, or different concerning the history of your Elantra? I think I am one of the few people who have bought they're Elantra wrecked. An old lady caught a light pole in a Burger King parking lot, and I bought it from her for $1500, with 12,000 miles on the odometer. Also, not a lot of us have turn signal mirrors, or a temp/compass/auto-dim rearview mirror, so I think those are unique too. Honestly, what was your intention when you bought your Elantra? I always have modded my cars a little when I get them, so this wasn't any different. I am definately more show than go...lol. What was your intention after discovering EXD (or other Hyundai forums)? I thought it was pretty cool to see other people who have a passion for modding they're Elantras/other cars. To find a bunch of people who like Hyundai's is pretty cool too. In one word describe the style of your Elantra. Clean?! Who helped modify your Elantra? I have done everything myself, from the body work to everything else. What do you like most about your Elantra? I like how unique looking the shape of the car is. It's not really a wagon, but can still haul a lot. I also like that I can tow my jet-skis or snowmobile without any problem. What do you like least about your Elantra? It has an automatic. Other than that, I wish it had more power sometimes. One more thing, the steering feel could be improved a little. What modification is next for your Elantra? I honestly don't know. I never really think anything through when I do any mods. If I see something that I think I would like, I just buy it without much thinking. So I can't say what's next for it. On a scale from 0-10, how would you rate your Elantra? An 8. I don't like the automatic. I also don't like how there isn't much of an aftermarket as there should be. I also seem to go through brakes quite quickly. Most commonly, what do people say about your Elantra? What does Crook D H mean. For those who don't know, my plates are CROOKDH. I always have to explain myself. Most people like my car, those who hate hatchbacks don't...lol. Almost everyone loves the interior though. Who is allowed to drive your Elantra? I live quite away from town, so if I have nothing planned for the day, I let my Dad take the car to work to save gas. Otherwise, if I'm out, I may let someone drive me home in my car. That way, I don't have to get a ride back into town to get it. What is the most outrageous thing you have wanted to do to your car that you have not been able to do? Turbo, but then I realize if I wanted a turbo car, I should have just bought one. What kind of car did you own (or drive) before your Elantra? I had a 2003 Ford Escort ZX2, which was a really good car. I just wish it would have had more room in it. Realistically, what kind of car is next? I would like a NF Sonata 5 Speed, 4 cylinder. I think I might get the V6 automatic though. I also wouldn't mind a Azera, maybe if I can find a cheap enough wrecked one....lol. I don't plan on getting a new car for a long time yet though.
