it does not sound like that all the time.... easy on gas and it'll sound like any regular stock elantra that has had intake mods...
although it is a lot more noticeable than in the XJR i had the joy of driving for a few years....

what i do to get awesome rolling starts with the auto... is just drop it in L when your at a complete stop and barely ease into the gas untill your at 2500-3000 rpms..and then mash it...you should get some awesome starts..

do you use the stock tb with that supercharger?

Go with a dynomax turbo muffler, its shaped like the stock and you dont see it at all, do you remember mine at the meet on long island? its not even loud like those fart cans.

gearing is all going to be the same.... I do have an automatic.... just because you THINK you'd be going faster than someone from watching a video...don't mean squat....
the automatic is the weak link in my setup... come summer... level 10 will be my next mod so I get more direct power delivery.... because right now as people who went to the LI meet carchick set up know....I am not putting power down right from a stop...
i didn't buy this setup for pure power and speed.... read my posts and see why I bought the s/c nor am I about to go thrashing my car to prove a point...(no neutral dropping brake torqueing etc...)

i'm running the unichip so hopefully that is keeping thing in check as it is supposed to....
i'm not liking this doubting stuff... just to let you know.... people with XD's that are turbo or s/c are pioneers for all of us.... we sacrifice so the rest of the community can learn and see what our cars can do....and maybe get idea's for what they want to do to their cars...the setups alpine sells have been dyno proven.... so to say a 5speed stock xd with SRI seems faster than a boosted car with the same engine even if it were automatic...common sense would lead you to realize its not....

SRI gives....approx 5whp?
stock 5 speed dyno say 120whp
stock auto dyno was anywhere from 104 -114
throw in about 30-40whp from the s/c (ford gained 40whp at 5psi.... I get 6-7 psi)
you do the math....

grow up...your in wisconsin... you have not seen my car nor seen a s/c or turbo on a xd...your friend.... what qualifications do you and your friend have in talking about cars...(for all I know he's an 18yr old pimplefaced ricer boy who thinks an ebay electric fan is going to give his car an extra 100whp) I'm not technically inclined but I sure as hell can tell the difference between a N/A elantra and a S/C elantra and so can the person who installed the kit for me...(ASE cert tech) he's put FI in many cars... honda's acura's you name it... has a APR stage 2 A4 usp... drove my car before s/c and after... in his words: big difference.....

you have not driven my car... I drive my car on a daily basis...and I can tell you... not only is acceleration faster from a roll... passing at highway speeds is much improved also....tell you what... you go to HITH and i'll show up...then you can see the difference in reg auto XD and s/c auto XD...until then don't even think about telling me that my mod is not doing anything for my car...

ummm.... as I stated before....the weak link is the inner workings of the hyundai automatic transmission...hit it wrong and it responds with a... DUHHH what do you want me to do DUHHH....
so off the line a NA xd might... (prob will) have an advantage but once moving... goodbye so long farewell...
btw as I have previously stated... I have .75 inch thick weathertechs in addition to my xd mats so thats what flooring it means when I say it....(installer yelled at me because I had never technically "floored it" lol)
and no i am not going to take clips of highway rolling acceration runs....too dangerous when I am riding solo... (which is most of the time)

actually most people on here are more mature than you think they are... they know their stuff when they see it... it's the minority that don't know that any FI car will spank the same car if it were NA........
