Stop eating! It'll save you $ on food, and you'll loose body weight, which will lighten up the car's load... ;) (J/K)

The only thing he should have done was of course remove the AC condensor, compressor and all lines. That stuff weighs in at almost 100lbs.

take the junk outta your trunk.
take out the back and passenger seat.
Its still almost insane to take the AC out of a daily driver (in Texas) at this time of year, slow2k2gt

The rear muffler is really heavy, as is the stock battery. An aftermarket muffler and a racing battery will save quite a bit of weight. The stock wheels are pretty heavy, too. You can remove the engine and battery covers. The stock intake resonator and snorkel can come off. Take off the front license plate and holder, if your state allows it.
You can alway run with your fuel tank and windshield washer reservoir no more than half full... ;)

I really don't think you're going to save much gas by doing all this. It's not even worth the hassle unless you were racing and every hundredth of a second counts.

What are you talking about BlackElantraGT, don't you know that the front license plate weighs 35 pounds.

yeah. taking out engine plastics is dumb. ooh...you might save 5 lbs. seriously, maybe the HUGE things like your sub box, and if youre getting an exhaust it might be 20 lbs lighter. heres a good way to save gas, shift at very low rpms, dont accelerate as fast. i drive like a mad man, get about 21mpg city. i drive like a grandma, i get about 30mpg. (and i did each for about 2 weeks straight and calculated my gas to mileage)

its not worth it bro, unless you go all out, nothing in the interior except a seat and steering wheel..etc. your interior would look like crap, and you wouldnt save much money. i thought u were rich anyway? get a job and make more money.
