What is everyones opinion on this suggestion?

I don't understand why the COTM pictures have to be ONE size? My theory is if the people that vote can see the car, then they can see the car. Also, the bigger pic. file (800x600) may take a very long time for those (many) who have dial up. I firmly believe that this "rule" should be withdrawn. Please vote, Yes to take this rule away or No to leave the rule in place.

the reason that all pics must be 800x600 is FOR the dial up users. it provides a good median between dial up and broadband. i myself have tried both connections and the pics load perfectly fine for me. how would you like to load a 4 mb file on dial up? 20 min sound nice for you? i like this rule, so im voting no.

Dial up users have a pain on this board as is with all the pictures and video, leave the COTM at the 800x600, its the best for all.

I did not mean to create a riot here but check out my enterance to COTM: http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10275 I do not think that this picture size has any problems with it. I really do not understand why I got a PM from rckozma saying that the picture size needs to be 800x600. I think that if the people VOTING can clearly see the picture of the cars then what is the problem. Please check my enterance to october's COTM and tell me what is wrong with the size of my pictures. To me my pictures are not to BIG but are not so small so you can not see the detail.

I put mine in this month and had to re-size some of them.It really wasnt that big of a deal.I dunno.It's just like that I guess

There HAS to be a standard, and 800x600 is a great compromise. That's life.

The reason I wanted them at 800x600 (or bigger) is because that way, if you win, when I set up the COTM page, that it'll all look uniform.

Just to let you know, everyone that nominated their car and did not meet the "rules" was sent basically the same PM that you received. And as the "rules" state, they get one PM after that if they do not meet the requirements by the 20th then their nominations will be dropped. I have done it in the past and this month will be no different.
