broke my valve tab??

I changed my oil a few days ago and noticed a little oil leak from above the engine. I took it to my dealer today, mind you I have only 13k on my car 2005 hyundai elantra. They tell me not covered under warrenty and the oil leak is from me using a funnel and the funnel bent a valve cover tab in the engine, if you open the oil cover to pour oil in you will see it, it is just metal tab if u put a funnel or something it will bend very easily and eventually cause ur valves to bust and bye bye warrenty and engine. anyone know about this or is this b.s. ether way they got me for 30 dollars for part and labor??

If you got away for only $30 from the dealer I would concider myself very lucky. I am not too sure how that part is mounted under the valve cover but I fail to see how that would cause a leak. It was probably just some oil you spilled when you changed your oil last.
