View Full Version : buyer feedback forum--we need one.
if its a flame, move it to the flame section please. thanks.
we need a ****ing buyer feedback forum. i hate "buyers" who lowball the **** out of you and then expect you to go with their offers. i know one person i'd definitely be giving negative feedback to.

Well, the nice thing about being the seller, is you don't have to sell it to them. If they won't give you your asking price, move on to the next person.

yeah i know.. but still just to warn other sellers of what the buyer that is calling dibs on their product is most likely going to do

By the new rules, if they aren't willing to buy your item for the asking price, you don't have to honor their "dibs" and can relist the item.

It all depends on how you list too... if you say $100 obo, then expect negotiations to take place. Usually if you say $100, you'll get offers too. If you say $100 firm, well that's another story.
If your starting price is a good price, people will pay it. If you're asking too much, then you'll probably be in the situation to get offers.

and assuming a person will always do the same thing in every transaction isn't fair either....
if you get a low offer, reject it and move on.... no need to get all worked up about it....

I think we should have a section for buyer feedback also. Maybe not for the reasons above... but what if they're slow in paying you, or work out a payment plan, then don't stick with it, or hassle you constantly about have you shipped it yet, have you shipped it? Or their check bounced, or they try to install something, screw it up, then blame you for shipping a damaged item or something.

For now, PM a moderator or Admin if that happens. If we get a lot of PM's about this issue, then the additional forum might be considered.

I don't think a buyer feedback forum is a good idea. It will basically be a place to make personal attacks and finger-pointing. Not every sale situation is the same... a lot of how the buyer acts has to do with the seller, the item, the price, and how badly the buyer wants/needs the part.
As was said above, if you have a terrible sale relationship, PM the admin, but in the 3 years EXD has been in existance this hasn't been an issue.

And remember you don't ship the item until you get payment. If they are slow paying, then move to the next person. I don't do paypal, but I guess I may have to convert. I tell the seller up-front that I only do MO's and if that is a problem then they go to the next person, I usually get the MO in the mail either the same day or the next morning after I get all the info I need to mail it. Of course my hold up would be USPS.
Like the others said, if you don't like their offer then reply to them that $xx.xx is the lowest I can go. If they don't like that then move to the next bidder.
