I have a hydraulic jack that I keep in the truck (in a case) and it's always sliding around. I'm trying to figure out how to secure it. I've been thinking about lots of velcro or maybe that stuff you put under rugs to keep them from sliding on wood floors.
Anyone have any better thoughts?

cant you add an OEM cargo net in the trunks of our cars? if not, just use some bungee cords and anchor it down to something like the bottom rear seat tabs (where the bolt goes thru)
or just get some muscle and use your OEM jack :)

When did you get a truck? ...Oh, you must mean trunk ;)
I don't think velcro will work out... I tried that for something before, and it sucked... would stay put until the first hard turn, then it was all over.
I would suggest using bungee (sp?) cords and finding somewhere in the trunk where you can keep the jack stuck against the side. If you get long enough cords, you should be able to find someplace to hook them on to... if not, you could always just add a little eyehook somewhere out of the way.
Oh, and I have the cargo net... it won't hold the jack in place.

I'll have to look for a good spot to secure it to, we'll see.

We both know the OEM jack is poop. That's why I bought a new jack.

I thinks it's a pretty good jack... the best OEM jack I've ever used......
hydraulic jacks are nice though..... but in order to help you in your plight... I think we're gonna have to see some pics...lol

i would use velcro. i keep a bat in my trunk and secure it with velcro. if u use enuf velcro it will secure the jack. thats the easiest way.

I'll take pics tomorrow. I'll even take some pics of the inside of the trunk so you lazies don't have to get up to look at yours, haha.

i say, if you have room anywhere near the tire well in the trunk, slide it in there, but from the hydra-jacks that ive seen thats no possiblilty, so I say just make a little "box" or something out of brackets to hold it in place behind one of the tail lights.

No pics.
I got two bungee cords and have secured it to the bracket that holds the two rear seats together. We'll see how it works.
