2 stages colder. you need colder plugs to help prevent detonation

2 stages? how do you determine the level of the stage you need?
Any recommended brands?

I would say that for every 100 extra hp, you want to go 1 stage colder.
so I think 2 stages might be a little on the extreme side...

yeah that's what I though.
so I will go with one stage colder. NGK: BKR6E-11 right FF? :D

that would be right.
In reality, you need to test the setup and then inspect the plugs for any kind of heat damage. If they show accelerated wear or heat damage, you will want to change to 2 stages colder... :)

ah.
wait. do you mean I should test the setup with normal plugs at first, and then switch to stage 1, or test it with stage 1 and then switch to stage 2?
You lost me there :)

Start with stage 1.
you don't want to risk melting a plug or worse... if a plug gets too hot, it glows like an ember... it will pre-ignite the fuel mixture and it will lead to engine damage... things like melted valves, melted pistons... all that jazz...
