Hello,
I currently have the CD pillar pod with 2 gauges in it. I was told to just put a screw through it and into the frame near the door so the black sealing covers up the screw. I did this but it doesn't appear to properly secure the pillar in place at all. On slightly bumpy roads I can see the pillar vibrating around, and if I push on it there is a good 1/2 inch of play, this just didn't seem like a good way to mount it. Has anyone else experience any of these problems, or did you mount it a better way? Basically I am just looking for a better idea on how to mount it properly. Thanks!

I haven't...does it really secure it good would you say? When you go over bumps do you hear the velcro crinkle at all? So you are talking about putting velcro all along the side right next to the window, then put the corrisponding velcro all the way down on the inside of the fiberglass pillar? If it holds as good as you say it does maybe I will have to try it, hopefully between that and the screw it won't be going anywhere.

yes. thatsa what i mean.

i had velcro on both sides, but i think i overkilled it.

i no longer have the pillar, i have a triple pod now, but it was holding up well when it was there.
