To any of you in the DFW area interested in autocrossing,
You can register now.
Just go to http://autocross.com/texasregion/ and click on the calendar, then click register under the October 23rd event.
You'll need to know the specific classification code. To figure out your classification, refer to the document here:
http://www.scca.com/_filelibrary/File/solocategories.pdf
or the slightly easier to follow chart here:
http://www.dfwmiata.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=34&Itemid=50
Then look here to figure out the specific code for your make/model.
http://www.scca.org/Solo/Index.asp?IdS=000CBF-C021C00&x=050|070&~=
I just got through registering under the FSP (Street Prepared) class. Cost is $25.
A friend of mine is also registered to drive my car, so it's gonna get a workout. And he'll be showing me some tips since he's done this before. We'll also have a digital camcorder with us to record the fine examples of driving technique. ;)
