hi i bought 2 pionners 12" 306c woofers and pioneer GM-D510M amp. i want to put the 2 woofers to the amp. some perople said that the amp only supply 250 rms to each woofers. the woofers have 400 rms each one. this peple said that the woofers will me damage. its that true. i need a more power amp? this 510m amp will damage the woofers? some people recomemed the kenwood KAC-9102D

according to pioneers website, that amp will put out 600 watts rms @ 2 ohms which works out to about 300 per sub. even though they're rated at 400 watts rms, giving them less won't hurt them (please note however that playing them louder than 300 watts will allow will damage them).

ok the amp put 300 rms to each woofer. so it dont damage the woofers? i need a capacitor? i need a amp to put exactly the 400rms to each woofer? so whats better? conserve the amp or change to other? how can i play more that 300 watts? i need to put music high? not low?

the amp you have will work fine and won't damage the subs as long as you keep the volume at a low enough level. without using something like a multimeter to test exactly how much power you're putting out, the best advice is if it's distorting, turn the volume down until it isn't.
it would be possible with a bigger amp to make the subs slightly louder, but i doubt it's worth changing what you already have.

no, you don't need a capacitor. however, if you have some slight dimming issues, it may not be a bad idea to get one. capacitors are a touchy subject that everyone has a different opinion on. some people swear by them, other people say they are the devil. personally, i run about 500 watts and i don't use one.
and you shouldn't damage your subs unless you turn up the volume on your headunit or the gain on the amp too high. like i said, if you hear distortion definitely turn it down.
