Optimly you will want to covert to a return fuelrail system, Ford sells them for 35 dollars or something. Also, you will want to go with a "wet" kit for safety. THe search button is your best friend on this case. :)

yes sir. the infamous FF fuel rail adapter. the read and re-read my DIY on the zex wet nitrous install (in the diy section). then you will soon be whipping on the tibs...opps i didnt say that out loud, did i? :D

too late cypher, look at the post above you :D

im a sneaky little bastard like that.

an 80 shot will yeild about 36whp and 50wtq. dynoed on my car a few weeks ago.

im about to run the last of my bottle with a 100 shot. ill most likely get a few sprays till empty. winters almost here, so gotta use the last bit up.

And then watch your transmission say sianara Dave. :)

and remember his numbers are with an auto... a manual would yield better numbers

thats why i have a trans cooler. plus the maitinence is always done before the time limit. 6 bottles down, and no problems at all.

anyways, a 100 shot most likely produce on my car based on my dyno pulls 162whp and 178wtq. the stock auto trans will hold up to 200hp, from what ive read. the manny will do 250 if i remember correctly. so i should be good with the 100 shot.....just for track use tho. ill do 80 everyday.

I dont think the trans cooler is going to help with a 100 shot much Dave.

Yes, it will help. Stock, the auto can handle 180-200 whp. With the cooler, it can handle more than that.

What happens when you add hp, the TCM figures out that it needs to firm up the shifts.

Then how much whp can an automatic transmission run with a cooler on it then?

i could make a good guess at about 20-25 more than stock. it cools the trans fluid pretty good.

So, theoretically, if I go to a bigger cooler then the one I'm using, same one as Dave's, you could run more whp?

Bigger isn't always better (that's what I tell myself, but anyway). A more efficient cooler would theoretically increase the horsepower limit.

but too big is bad. our trans are picky about fluid level and temps.

Does a trans cooler void warranty? (i know about the law for mods where you have to prove that the part caused the problem, but is it like an instant void like a turbo?) And would it help a stock engine/trans performance more efficiently? right now i have nothing performance wise and 35 dollars doesnt seem like much to increase my auto trans max capacity +20whp as stated above. Im not saying it alone gives 20whp but, would it just make things run more smoothly and help the trans last longer signicantly?

how long does it take to put the cooler in

The cooler takes about 30 minutes to install if you know what your doing.

a trans cooler will NOT void the warranty, and it sure as hell DOES NOT give any hp gains. if any it might be 1 or 2. it just helps keep trans fluid temps down.

and it took me about 45 min, because...well it just did. that pesky lower hose was a pita. well it didnt help that my car is lowered about 2" from the ground either.

I got my Hayden cooler from Auto Zone for $24 + $10 for the xtra tranny hose. Took about an hr for me to install, but I had to remove the mesh I have over my condenser. You will also ned to get a qt of SP III fluid from the dealer to top off when done (I needd about 1/2 qt).
Felix, you need to decide what shot your going to use, but a said, you good up to a 50 shot no problem at all, 80 with a tranny cooler with the auto.

and get an aftermarket torque converter and it can handle even more
