hifoniks amps are excellent quality. a friend of mine had it as a "rental" while he figured out how to fix his. if his was unfixable, im 110% sure he would've kept it

now i can say just the opposite on hifonics. They used to be the amp to have but i think they have went way down hill. My buddy had a whole setup done in hifonics and that was amp and 4 12's and i could of out hit him with 1 10 easy. Could of been the series of amps i dont know but pesonally i would stay away from them.

djspinner02 had the hifonics colossis (sp) 4400watts for comps. one word ROCKED!!!!!. that amp pounded the subs he had. i almost bought it for myself, but the price tag scared me a bit. i would recommend them. but it all depends on what the amps used for. subs or components.

i've heard stories of them being overrated (especially the bx model #'s)

I don't know about their current equipment, but I have a Hifonics Centurion amp from 1998(?) or so. That thing is probably the best amp I have ever seen, for the price. It was very inexpensive, it's stable all the way down to 1-ohm, and it puts out more power than you'd think for it's ratings. (100W x2 @4-ohms.) It's always had good clarity, plenty of power, and never cut out or overheated in the YEARS that I've had it running 2 5-ohm subs bridged mono, wired parallel. (1.25 ohm perceived load on the amp.) All in all, I'm VERY impressed with it.
