Full auto windows

Is there a way to convert all the power window switches on the driver's door panel to auto down?

I think the XG had this feature as will the Azera. If this is the case, could I just substitute their window switches with mine, fitment problems aside.
Also does anybody know if these switches are only auto down or do they handle auto up as well?

mmm..correct me if i'm wrong but if you replace the 3 switches that are not auto to the same one as the front driver side that will work. the only thing is to get it from the dealer you have to buy the whole pannel so you'll need 3 of them and that would be expensive. maybe i'm way wrong and the switch is not what controls auto down

the switch IS different, but it's not gonna work very easily.....

its not really the switch.. if you open up the panel you'll see what yevRPS was talking about. its the same exact switch but it doesnt have a recoil type thing on it (if you wanna call it that).. its kinda hard to describe but it would take a lot of soldering onto a circuit board

oops it's been a while since i opened it up...yeah it's gonna be take some effort to get this to work as well as soldering skill. looking back i dunno what i was thinking :-/

i want to make my switches like the VW switches where you have an auto down and auto up for both the driver and the passenger. its nice when i drive my dad's to be able to go up to a toll booth and when im pulling away not to have to hold the switch until the window is up. one click and you are done.

you could get some special relays from www.altron.co.kr but you would have to know how to speak korean. Or you could get in on a group buy of these relays that happen from time to time on www.rdtiburon.com I did, I also got the sunroof relay too (sunroof one touch open/close and it closes when the key is taken out of the ignition, the window relays do the same thing depending on how you wire it up) :cool:

Couldnt you just go grab the board out of a Caddy (I think they all have the full auto down, I know the 03 Deville has it) and toss it in? Im sure it would take some modification, but it might be easier than replacing each individual switch, right?

The Deville also has auto roll up, but the sunroof would only auto open, not auto close, which baffled me.

Well I was trying to stay within hyundai, specifically the XG350 because it's supposed to be the more "luxurious" model so that the circuitry would be more compatible. Outside of that, I was looking into Mercedes-Benz switches, but the caddy idea might be easier on the wallet.

you were able to wire it so that your windows and sunroof closed automatically when you took your key out? can you post some instructions or PM me with them?

Don't know if you found a fix for your problem. If you didn't, check out the guys at Dreamka4u.com. They've got the Altron auto-down four-window relays for the Elantra. They've also got the one-touch sunroof relay for the Elantra as well. The relays are supposed to be plug-n-play. No muss, no fuss.

hey guys, i know its not really on the topic but i was curious what could cause the problem where the driver side rear window wont go down or come up

my car is an 04 hatch back.

I do have some damage right under the door frame where you put the jack but i dont think that would affect it

any ideas :(

when my battery was about to die, like a week before the windows started to not work, even when the car was running.. this could be it? i dont know your battery situation
