it shoots all the fiberglass packing and baffles on the road....and then the welds come loose, it splits apart and dangles there for a bit....finally it gets ripped off and chucked..and i thought bc it was stainless steel it was invincible..i learned my 35 dollar lesson...a dynomax is already on the way..NEVER BUY THE N1 TITATIUM TIP MUFFLER OFF EBAY unless you are 100% sure its quiality...here are the before and after pics..i have a video of what it sounds like with just a 4-1 header and a straight pipe after it(muffler) fell off if anyone wants to hear it..i definetly got what i paid for...sorry the first pic is so tiny..and yeah i only had it on for 20k miles

well i personally thought it was halariouse because i was driving back from class and getting weird looks.. and it kept getting louder... and i was like hell ill take that..and then it was super freakin loud and i was like ok somethings wrong..and sure enough i pulled over and saw a completely hollowed out muffler...and then two days later it got so loud i had to pull over..and there it was swingin by one hanger..and i found all the packing on the side of the road too..all you really can do is laugh...its horrible to drive right now waiting for my new muffler because it sounds like a chevy truck with straight pipes..lol
That sucks.I was looking at a muffler on ebay, and i believe that might have been the one.At least I know which one to stay away from.

did you guys leave the silencer in it? i think the reason mine crapped out is ive driven to colorado and back 3x(in a single year) with it(silencer removed) and it has been in two floods..and snow..and i have no cats and a 4-1 header..im not saying dont buy it..just take it as a peice of mind for those who are thinking about it
It's time to buy a new muffler now that i think about it.Decisions, decisions

yeah i got my muffler off a friend but he always spends a rediculous amount of money on everything he buys for his car so i knew i could trust. i got it w/20 and ive put 30. good luck though. i can't believe that the welds just completely snapped, and so cleanly i might add.

maybe it was also just a bad weld job.

ROFL, thats awesome haha. Sorry, but I needed a laugh this morning :) Thanks
wow, that sucks man!
im sure the sound gets you a LOT of weird looks if it sounds like a truck. People might even think you dropped in a different engine, haha!

Well, I'm glad I only spent $3.99 for my muffler, and the add said it was an N-1 Style Muffler. No problems yet, but just in case, I'm also switching to a 3-chamber Dynomax and putting this axle back on my wife's car...

yep, critical pieces like exhaust and other engine components should be carefully bought IMO, maybe except for the intake that could do no harm really.
what sucks is that you need a new muffler and have to get it welded on again...
good luck.

I've had my E-bay N-1 muffler for about say 3 - 3 1/2 yrs already. Never any problems at all...Maybe you got one from a bad batch...hmm
