Not sure if this goes here, but I just wanted to share this info. I had a very similar situation happen to me at Just Brakes in Spring on 1960 @ Ella. One of the idiot workers even torqued my damn lugs to 120lbs  . Spec torque is only 80lbs. Just Brakes = wasted time and $$

yeah.. my dad went through something like that.. just brakes said that his calipers or something were bad along with a whole bunch of other things.. so my dad walks up to the manager is like "oh they're bad huh? show me my parts and compare them to a new one".. needless to say they shut up and did his brake job for $100
f*ck just brakes.. i'd much rather screw it up myself

LOL yup..
I went to just brakes off of fry Road and I10 in Katy. They suck really bad never go there. I'm going to Brake check off of HWY 6 by clay. They do good work.
It really depends on the mechanic, though.

you live in katy? my aunt and uncle live there. my cousin is the one theyve been talking about missing on the news
and i will never go to a shop for brakes. they all want to say if this happens, then this happens, blah blah. always try to say that the rotors need replaced, then when you say no, they try to say theyre not allowed to put new pads on bad rotors.
hell, when i did mine, i got performance parts, screwed up something, got new replacement parts, and finished at less than a normal place would charge for a regular job.

yeah im with evan on this one. i would rather set aside an hour and spend 40 on brakes and do them myself. this way i know if i actually need new rotors or it they even need to be cut. i like to know whats going on with my car. its not because i am cheap i am just more of a do it yourself'er.

Yea thats the main reason training sucks... .schools dont make money by failing people. And there arnt any certification levels like a C- students gates the same certification as a A+++ student...
Also i paid 57.48 to get stud fixed.
