Inner plastic trim inside trunk.
My bumper was compacted and need what is under the bumper cover.

if the damage is into the trunk, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's totaled....

the thing with most cars is that the front end sheetmetal is replaceable and the front frame is relatively easy to be straightened but the rear end is mostly one piece and more difficult if not impossible to be restored

yeah, if i were you, id take all that you can out of what you have now, audio, performance, whatever you can salvage... and if it is totalled, put all that stuff into your brand new elantra! im just waiting on one of these dumb rednecks to rearend my elantra here at school so i dont have to pay as much for the GT hatch that i want.

I got rearended in my 05 gls a month ago, you can find out all the details in the flame section, I think the post was "I can't believe it..." or something like that. The total damage was over $2500 and they replaced a hell of a lot more than you listed.

my thought is that the damage went into the trunk.... that's not gonna be easy to fix....

I looked around and have no clue why my trunk wont close. It doesnt look bent and the frame doesnt look bent. But for some reason one side of my trunk hase a large gap like it isnt sitting right.
Oh well still. I'm going to go with getting a check from the insurance company. Best case senario (which i really hope will happen) is that the insurance will give me $800 for the damage. I want is a body kit (650 shipped) and get it paited for about 450. So i will pay for a body kit only 300 0f my own money.
Anyways how do i remove the back bumper (not just the cover)

If you get an estimate on the damages, you'll find that it's going to be a LOT more than $800. The same thing happened to me about a month ago, my trunk had a huge gap on the right side and was almost hitting on the left side, and the wheel well was ****ed inside, frame bent, everything. $2500 worth of damages, you can check out my post as I told you before...
