That reminds me of something that ripped through the door panel of my old 1990 EGT (Escort GT). I heard a big thud but nothing was wrong... later that night I walked past my door and noticed a slice right through the metal doorskin. Some piece of metal scrap had been kicked up and had it gone into the passenger compartment it would have torn up my left leg to bits !

Scary for sure !

nah man it went through the battery, he said it was glowing red when he noticed it, rofl

and the car still ran!!!

yeah I read that, although from where it came out from it looks like it would at least go through the intake manifold...

i wouldve thought that the acid from the battery wouldve caused the end of the thing to corrode a bit, no?

Reminds me of all those random pieces of furniture, metal and wood you see lying around the road... and if you aren't careful it'll be the end of your car.. and perhaps your life. Like for example a couple weeks ago there was a random aluminum ladder stretched out blocking a whole middle lane... luckily i saw it well in advanced to avoid it... So please don't be an asshole if and when you drive a pickup and are carrying loose items on it.
