Exxon made 10 BILLION in PROFITS last quarter......
that's not total revenue... that's PROFIT!!!!!
They told us they were raising prices because of the natural disaster, high oil prices... the list of reasonswent on and on.
Well, this tells the real story. Their reasons were all lies. They did it simply to make more money.
I hope they all ****ing die.
all alone.... in the cold...... painfully.....

See this global society we live in is balanced by many different people of many different occupations... you got the police, the doctors, the lawyers, the teachers but most of all you have the oil barons. Without oil barons then there would be no one out there to buy all those deserted tropical islands, exotic sports cars and billion dollar mansions. Thus all those vital industries would collapse without the well earned money of these people! So as you can see they serve a very important purpose in our ecosystem.

Hey, I resent that. I like cigars... and someday hope to have a BMW. However, I am not a "rich ****ing bastard" oil tycoon.
Yea,that is real sad.All of the oil companies 3rd quarter profit percentages are enough to make you throw the hell up.Thats capitalism for you.

I hate paying this much for gas too, but I say, if you can charge that much and make money, then go for it.
Perhaps I should charge per post here... hmm... haha.

im sure you meant economy/society and not ecosystem..they do nothing for the ecosystem

What's minimum wage?
What's the hourly pay that you would settle for?
What would you do for 45,000,000 an hour? Perhaps you could tell people how much they are supposed to pay for gas.
bastard oil tycoons
and super.. the day you start charging to post on this site is the day i ask you if i can be your business partner lol

Your problem shouldn't be with oil exec's .. yes they are making a killing .. you should have a problem with the oil shieks that run the middle eastern states and control 95% of the global petroleum supply. They have a lot more ability to manipulate the price and they make a lot more money than the oil companies do.

the oil companies can charge whatever they want... it's the buyers that will dictate the price however. as long as we keep feeding 92 octane to our dodge ram SRT10s with 500HP that get 10 mpg or less, the oil companies will laugh all the way to the bank. once we all start driving priuses, the companies will take notice and beg us to buy more gas... and to do that they will have to lower their prices.

i thought most european countries pay the equivalent of about $4/gal. part of the reason europeans pay a lot more for gas than we do is that european countries place HUMONGOUS taxes on gas. the oil companies aren't profiting any more on gas sold to europe than they are on gas sold here. we just pay less to our government for each gallon we buy.

From what I understand, it's between $4-5 in Europe.
Also, Europe is a smaller place, with a lot less room inbetween major cities, with more emphasis (from what I understand) placed on walking and various forms of public transportation. I hear you can take trains from here to there to anywhere. That kind of thing doesn't happen here I guess. I don't know, it's late.

Well lets look who is in the White House.Oil men running the Country.
If a President and his cronies had investments in Prescription Drugs and Drugs doubled in price, someone would get suspicious.
I don't blame Cheney and Bush for invading Iraq, I don't blame them for High oil
prices. And I don't blame them for the largest deficit in Americas history.
I blame the people who voted for him. I don't vote strictly Democrat or strictly
Republican. I vote for the Person who is best for the country, and this administration is the best thing that ever happened to the Oil Tycoons.
The supporters of this administration hate Democrats soo bad that they would vote for Charles Manson if he ran on the Republican ticket.
A country Deserves the Government they have.

I'm with Super... (little brown nose to the owner can't hurt can it?)
If the oil companies can charge people to buy gas at those prices and people will still pay, then that's how capitalism works. It's much better than price controls for sure (less government > more government). I'm anxious to see where they reinvest the profits. ie. more drilling, new refineries (if we can get the environmental wackos off our backs), finishing the alaskan pipeline, etc. and of course, all this in the U.S. please...
