Well,
Finally got sick of working, decided to take a few days off. Dropped the kids at grandmas grabed the wife and left Thursday morning at 5Am and arrived in Pensacola at 8PM.
Sorry to see all the damage folks, we had not been back in the last two years from the other hurricanes but I guess Katrina also did some damage. Talking to folks there it will come back better than before.
Left Pensacola Beach on Friday morning arrived in Destin. Stayed at the Holiday Inn on 98. Went to AJs and Gilligans and to the Back Porch and had some drinks at all and the Whale Tail . Left Sunday Morning at 2AM arrived in Kenosha at 6PM AWESOME, this little car is fantastic, I am celebrating one year of ownership and just rolled to 32,000 Miles

Some pictures of my baby from from Beautifull Florida.

I've lived in pensacola for the past couple of years while going to school. Ivan tore the city apart, there wasn't much left for Dennis to do but he did what he could, and we didn't feel any effect from Katrina. Drove down to south Florida and back this past wednesday because my family told me that they were running out of water and gas. That was fun <--- there should be a hint of sarcasm. I ****ty gas mileage on the way down (32 with the trunk and back seat full of gas and water doing about 75), and even worse on the way back up (29 empty doing about 80), and thats with an sri and ground wires. How was your gas mileage?

Over by Navarre Beach there, there were a lot of homes with damage, looked recent so I assume it was from Katrina. I usually get about 30MPG combined city Highway without the air in my daily commute with the air I run at 26MPG, During the trip down , I got 36 if I was keeping it at 75 or below but I got tired of that I was running between 80 and 90 most of the time and I got about 32( that includes the wife and baggage so its about the same. ). If you got 32 with a full load like you describe above, I would say thats pretty good. I only have a modified stock CAI that would affect performance or MPG.

wow.... I'm moving to Destin on Saturday..... that's crazy....

I've visited a few times so I know the places you're talking about.... weird....

Glad to hear you had a great trip.... I'll be adding 1000 miles to the approx. 123,000 miles already on my car this Saturday, and it's been good to me on many road trips over the past 4 1/2 years...
