A few weeks ago I got really sick of looking at the pale pink GT badge on the back of my '02 Hatch, but I really like the look of the car with the badge on it. Not wanting to De-Badge my car, and also not wanting to pay for a new badge from the dealer, I decided to try a little experiment first.

All I did was color over all the surfaces carefully with a red Sharpie. I know, it sounds way ghetto, but it actually turned out quite well. I'm very pleased. You would never know that it wasn't a new badge unless you get up to within 6 inches or so. (If you're that close, you can see slight variations in color depth caused by the strokes of the marker.) I'm pretty darn pleased with the results for the price. (Just the cost of a red Sharpie!)
After a few weeks, the color variations are starting to become less and less noticable, so I don't know how well this will hold up to the elements, but for now it looks WAY better than it did! It looks brand new right now! (I'll try to get another pic sometime in the next few weeks. That first "After" shot was taken a few seconds after I had finished, so it wasn't even completely dried yet.)
