Removing Black Tape Door Sill

Hi all,

I just got some really nice looking satin stainless steel door sills for my 05 Elantra GT and want to remove the black plastic tape door sills in the front. Is this very easy to do? Do I need to do anything special? I searched this website but I couldn't find any reference on how I should proceed removing this.

remove the door panel and pretty much just take apart that panel with a phillips head screwdriver. i just took apart my door panel last night by doing that.

They just peel off. It'll help if they are warm so that the glue is warm. Use a hair dryer if you can. Then clean it a little bit before putting on the new sills.
