So I installed my CAI today/last night and at first I didnt connect the MAF, (wasn't sure what to do with it) so then I got on the forums found out i needed to cut the pipe about 3" roughly, I did that. Here is my problem

I start my car everything sounds fine, I back out of my garage. I take off like i would normally, and when I get to about 3000 RPM it just boggs down. I then try to make it around the corner and it just bogs and bogs barely moving. I push in the clutch it bogs more even with the gas pedal in all different areas just tryin to get some juice out of it so i would'nt have to push the damn thing home. I let out the clutch it rolls really slow around 5MPH and the RPMs go from 900- 1300ish, back forth im rokcing my way back home, (only about 100 feet.) I get home take everything apart piece by piece i check everything.

First i take everything out just put the firt pipe on start the car, rev the engine a little past 4000 to see if it'll bog down, it doesn't. i put on the MAF same thing, doesn't bog. ok so i put on the next pipe, do all the same things, no bogging yet. I notice the bracket thing came off my filter so i thought, hey maybe its loose w/e. so I tighten it i put the 3rd pipe on (have 3 because i cut one for the MAF) this is without the filter same checks everything works out. Now I put the filter on tighten er down start the car rev blah blah and same thing doesn't bog, I say to my self "well must have been the filter being loose" I put the light back on (i didnt wanna take the whole wheel well and all that oiff again) start the car back up, pull out get ready to shift to 2nd.....boooooooggggg. same thing. Also when it's bogging its make a high pitch squealing noise, i checked for leakes and couldn't find one so I have NO CLUE wth is going on here maybe you guys can help me out. Would be very nice if ya did 8>

man im an idiot >< ok ignore this thread if u wanna, I guess the pipe got shoved down into the filter when i was tryin to fit the MAF in, yes guess it went all the way to the end and stopped sucking in air, thats where the whistle noise came from and the lack of air ugh im so dumb work awsome now ill have pics up soon

edited for spelling (i suckzor at it)

Probably a good thing you got that MAF in there too. :P

A guy I know SRI'd his '93 Lumina and didn't install the MAF. His car was guzzling gas and running very rough.
