Nice cars, I couldn't stop staring at those huge yards!! The house looks pretty big to me.

We don't have that kind of space out here in Cali.

We dont have that kinda space here at all in Anne Arundel COunty. If you have abig house, your only like 30 or so feet from the next one.

ooo nice and shiny... I like the focus hatch 5 door...but its still a ford Focus.... what can I say im practical

funny thing is... houses in areas like ny metro, d.c metro and Cali are More expensive than houses in ohio or anywhere in the midwest/central US...even if they were smaller sized...tiny little apartments run for more than the average price of a house in these metro areas...(I just went in 50% on a 300k Co-op apartment that was 750sq ft) now 300k in most places can buy you the above house in the first picture.... its all relative to location... No offense to anyone...

it's crazy cuz I can't even afford a little beat up shack smaller than that 2 car garage out here where I live!

you also make more up there because cost of living is more so it evens out partly

The truth is that most people that live in major metropolitan areas don't make THAT much more than everyone else. California's minimum wage is only $6.75/hr. For example, I'll use Orange County as an example (better known as The OC to those of you not familiar with this area). In OC, 90% of the county's population cannot afford to buy a home. So out of all the people that live in that county, only 10% are homeowners. That's a very small percentage of homeowners when you start comparing it to other cities or counties.

Yea where you live has a huge impact on how much a home will cost.

Like we live in Piney Orchard (rated best community in the county) and our 3 story, 3 bedroom townhome (back to back home, w/ no garage, and small front lawn w/ shed) was about 125K when bought, but is now worth over 250K because of how the property value has gone up so much.

But when I goto Georgia and see what kind of houses you can buy for less than 100K, it astounds me.

LOL but it seems that this thread has been hijacked.

most people in nyc do NOT make that much more than everywhere else.. i mean at most jobs, the cost of living adjustment is like 2-3 grand a year...I make 18 an hour and can't afford my own house/ nice rental apartment...of course I live in one of the top 5 most expensive areas in the country in terms of cost of living... but i would not leave for anything...I remeber a college friend who said his parents house in oklahoma city was 300k and it had acres of land, a lake, library, indoor pool etc...I cracked up when he said that...and for those people who do not wknow what a co-op is ... you don't own the apartment...you are basically leasing it long term if the management comp goes under... your screwed.....

The cars look nice, good work.

That's a nice size house, not huge though. When I was doing deliveries at work we went into some really big houses. A couple of my favorite ones include two with elevators, one with a half court basketball court in the basement, and another one in the country that had it's one private airstrip (I don't even know if that's allowed or what).
