ok i bought an exhaust a few months back and at first it sounded really really good and quiet not ricey at all then about 3 months later the exhaust gets louder and louder. I sound so ricey now it really embarissing. Does anyone know what I can do, or know what exhaust i can get that doesn't sound ricey. I have full exhaust header with and 2 1/4 and one cat converter...

You might have a hole in the exhaust...

Travis, are you running nitrous. If you are, it could be one of your cats. I have heard it said that running nitrous will eventually eat away the packing in the cats, causing your exhaust note to get louder. Of course, I could be wrong.

If you want a new muffler, get a "stock" looking one tucked under your bumper, like a Magnaflow or a Dynomax...

This year when I put the stocker exhaust back on the car it is way louder than I remember it. I'm wondering if there is a gasket or something that is missing when it was reattached or what (mine is a bolt on), or maybe it's just not aligned right, I have no clue. I checked everything except for the exhaust because I haven't been under the car since I changed it over. So I wonder if this situation might relate to you?

Get something chambered, not packed. That way they always sound the same. Borla or Flowmaster are a couple of god options.
