Hey guys im getting a Zex kit for $250 the owner of the bodyshop I go to all the time is gonna sell it to me because the original owner owes him money for alot of work he did on the guys WRX. The kit was used a little but it has everything with it. Should I be worried about buying a used one, even though he said the bottle was never refilled. for the money I save I could get parts that have to be new right? and dave can you help me install this you are the closest one to me that has the kit that I know of.

buy it. do you know what model kit it is. wet or dry? and is the NMU (nitrous managemment unit) activated by a TPS (throttle position sensor)?

it would be cool to do another install. ill be at evans this weekend. if ya hurry we can get that installed in a few hours. then "test" it out with mine. :D and that will give me an excuse to get 1 more refill before winter is here.

oh, btw...its 2loud2k2xd, not 2k2loudxd :D lol

i know its a wet kit but I didn't look at any other stuff it comes with but there where some nozzles in plastic bags that wern't used and some other extra parts. Im gonna check with him again next week though. It would be cool to get it on before the snow hits. I gotta get a winter beater though and money is virgin-tight right now.

this is what you should have (parts list from my kit)
14' braided line, 4' braided line, NMU (purple box) assorted wiring and connectors, 2-3' braided lines, nozzel, jets, bottle, bottle brackets. i have the kit in my car, and its raining so i dont want to get it right now.

this is what you should have for the install. a fuel rail adapter, ngk bkr6e 1* colder plugs, teflon paste (not tape), extra 12ga wire and connectors, electricle tape, drill (cordless, w/extra batteries), assorted drill bits, a 190lph fuel pump, premium fuel at least 2 tanks before you start spraying and then premium from then on. mobile 1 syn oil. trans cooler (auto only). i might have left out a few things, but you get the idea.

wow that seems like alot of extra stuff. so how much would all the extra stuff run me. and would I ever be able to use lower octane fuel and just have the bottle closed until im ready to use it again, or would I just use low octane till I fill the tank with premium twice and start the process over?

nitrous :)

WOOT !

exactly :D

anyways, you cant run nitrous with regular fuel. detonation i think. 2 full tanks with premium and always premium from there after. always. even my car in the winter, i wont spray, but i still will continue to use premium.
plugs are about 1.50 from murreys auto parts, a 190lph fuel pump, i think is about 100.00. a trans cooler for auto is 25.00, fords fuel rail adapter is 35.00+ return shipping of your old fuel rail. i have extra nitrous arm toggle. the kit should come with all the braided lines. what exactly is all coming with the kit? this way i can tell you what you will need to do a complete install.
