Yesterday and today we just got our first winter storm in Winnipeg which brought the first snow fall. We got hell of alot of snow already damnit! Anyways i was driving down some main roads here and its amazing how dumb people are, i saw like 4 or 5 CARS not SUV's driving way to fast for the road conditions (the roads get pretty messed up here). Everyone else is driving 10-20km/h under the limit and then you see people zoom by i was like wtf you're stupid!
Honestly if someone driving that bad hit me i'd rage a machine on them, but then i'd be alright with it cuz then they have to pay for it and i get new paint job and get rid of some scratches.:D

When I lived in Detroit, I had to commute through the city on I-75. For those of you not familiar, the interstate snakes its way near downtown with several 90 degree bends. One of those Explorer yahoos came by way too fast entering one bend and I knew he was a goner, since the next bend was twice as tight. I came around the bend to catch the satisfying sight of the stupid sucker spinning away up the embankment. Comedy gold and poetic justics wrapped up in one moment.

Yeah, I remember this one day after snowfall back when I was in Calgary... mostly everyone was going slow on the freeway, I merged in, but this idiot BMW behind me was tailgating me out of the merge and then went around me and gunned it... of course gunning it sent his rear end out and he 180'd into the concrete median, all by his lonesome. I had a f'n good laugh.
Wonder if it was the same guy who ~5 years earlier gunned his BMW from behind me tailgating an offramp off a bridge into a residential area... He blew past me at 60-70 in a 30 zone, crossed 2 lanes right into a speed trap. I honked my horn as I drove by the cops who had stopped him, they had a smile on their faces- probably made their quota for the month from this guy.
man this thread rocks.. i love people's stupidity. and its funny how some people drive rich cars like jackasses and don't give a crap about their life.. thats how 'accidents' happen, hurting innocent people. bastards

I helped push 4 cars out of my backlane before going to school its funny seeing people with 4X4 SUV's get stuck cuz they think they could make it through the snow. Many of these people didn't even have shovels or gloves.....how pathetic. I should be labeled a hero, but all i get is a thankyou. If anyone needs help from getting stuck come down to winnipeg for a winter we're always willing to help

I leave the summer tires on my car in the winter. It almost never snows here (It snowed a total of three times last year) and when it does, there is no snow removal. The local government likes to wait for it to just disappear on its own I guess. And the locals, OMG, they can't control their cars on a clear dry summer day, with snow on the road, forget about it. I just leave the car at home and hope one of the morons doesn't plow into it in the parking lot.

Being a winter driver as well, I find that people drive WAY TOO SLOW for the weather. The first snow hits and all of a sudden everyone forgets how to drive. I understand if it's just blowing snow at you and you can't see far ahead and you drive 40, but going 40 on a highway that is for the most part clean drives me insane. Get out of the left lanes and move to the right if you can't handle it. If people are passing you on your RIGHT, you should not be in that left lane. If other people want to speed, let them, it's those people that will get into an accident so let them learn their own lessons.
I'm confident in my car, my tires and my driving. People drive according to their abilities. I think driving in the very least at 80 on the highway with reasonable conditions that the person in front of me going 40 is in the wrong and is more likely to cause an accident and should move out of the way when they have a chance to do so. You don't have to drive stupid like rocketing by everyone, but it boggles my mind that some people think they can drive in this weather because they are so poor at it. It's better if they just stay home. God, it was raining the other day and I don't think I hit over 35 KMP on the highway, it was bumper to bumper, it's only RAIN.....anyway, I'll stop before this gets too long.

oh ya for sure theres poeple who go waaaaaaay to slow of the condition and theres who're just plain stupid! Some woman was going to fast and slid through a four way stop when it was my turn to go, good thing i saw her cuz it woulda been one crazy hit and she woulda hit the drivers side  . The bad thing about it was that she had her kids and a baby in that car.

HA i called it.
I got hit from a stupid winter driver and the guy took off, so hit n run.
ok heres what happend. i was stopped at a red light the it just turned green then BAM was rear ended by some dude who was either going too fast and couldn't stop or was just drunk. i then checked if my g/f was ok then went to check the other driver he seemed dazed.
we were in the intersection already and the damage wasn't too heavy so i told him we're gonna pull into a side street to get outta the way. it was an old man maybe in his fifties so i trusted him. i turned onto the side street and all i see in my rear view mirror was him taking off. i pulled a hard u-ey but lost the guy.
well at least i got hit on the corner my sis broke my taillight. so the turd pays and i get a new taillight. lol. thats messed up huh. :D

Did you get his License plate number? That's the first thing you should get before moving your car to the side.

ya i got his license number. the only reason i could think why he would take off is cuz he's drunk or something it was on boxing day at 1am. (boxing day is a holiday in canada after christmas day for basically shopping and stores give lots of discounts)

Its hard to find the right balance between driving the limit and driving too slow. I understand the old vans driving slowly, but when I see anyone slow down in the fast lane, it drives me up the wall. I just cant handle it!!!

i wish i'd gotten in on this one sooner, cause what drives me crazy is the first snow fall every fall. it's like everyone on the road has forgotten what it's like to drive in the snow and they're doing if for the first time. what kind of idiots are out there? and it's the ladies who are the worst. i know i'm a girl and all, but we are so terrible at driving sometimes it drives me speachless... :(

ahhh... i think dumb winter drivers are just dumb in general.
for instance, (let me share my story that happen just this morning, i need to flame someone but dont want to waste this post).
driving to work this morning so i was driving down a long stretch of road - speed limit is 80Km/h, going uphill with a curve (and today there was wet snow, roads are slick). double solid line seperates this two way road (single lanes). it was still kinda dark and i noted up road its kinda two bright to be just one headlight. i was right it was some idiot SUV driver overtaking a Truck. I quickly checked my rear mirros, car behind was around 8-9 cars away so i start to slow down from 70ish Km/h to around 50. stupid SUV only started to merge in his own lane when he was around 3-5 cars away from me. Stupid idiot!!! solid lane means no over taking. besides on a slopey road with a curve, common sense - no overtaking. This SOBs or DOBs want to die, they gotta do it themselves.
