Yay painted my interior!

Well after a night of looking up stuff on here on which paint to use, best methods and all that fun stuff I finally got it all back together. At the moment all I have done is the dash, doors and the middle collum will come later. I did it in red to semi-match the car, I didn't like the darker red so I just used the flat red. I used the Vinyl/plastic paint that I got at autozone which worked out well. I hard a hard time getting that damn clock unplugged at first but got it finally, any ways I got some pics but they are kinda blurry cause i'm in a hurry, kinda.

:D the doors aren't done yet unfortunatly, I had semi-limeted time so I'm gonna do this mod or a few days, doors tomorow (hopefully) and the middle collum when my short shifter comes in :D :D

looks really good man.. im afraid to try my hand at painting lol. like the guy above me said.. can you get us a detailed description of what you did? did you scuff up the original dash, put primer, then painted or did you just spray like all hell? lol.. thanks

lol, i followed the DIY on Elantraclub, so pretty much i just painted 4 coats, (was supposed to be 3 but i had some runnyness) then waited 2hrs then clear coated. I tried going to autozone after work tonight, only one was open and they wouldn't let me buy the paint cause im not 18, 2 months from it.... so ill go to the same one i did this morning and get my paint there :D

hmmmm I don't mean to be an asshole but it looked like you didn't follow my suggestion of sanding inbetween coats ;)

Even if the pics are blurry it's easy to see that your paint is very uneven... You can still correct this by sanding the clearcoat off and re-shooting it, but if you're like me, you won't feel like doing that at this point LOL.

Yes, it definately adds a lot when you do the HVAC face... it's makes it look a little less like you pulled off the dash and painted it (like it's actually supposed to be there or something :))

just be careful when you paint the doors...the vinal paint has tendancy to wear after a few months

thats how i feel about my duplicolor paint... i have some scratches and imperfections but i really dont care anymore... im done with painting for a while.

Its ok i guess. very dull tho. i guess if u like it then w.e
