If you don't live in Western Michigan, you'll likely NEVER need it. If you don't live there and you run into a situation where you do need it, you'll have bigger problems to worry about.

Yeah....my windshield washer fluid was frozen last night....and I tried to clean my windshield...and that little hum from the washer pump stopped making noise.
So I think I burnt it out. :(

The only time mine was frozen, it was like -20 all night overnight and the wind was blowing on the side of the car with the resevoir. I don't know, maybe I've always been using the antifreeze stuff without knowing it, but I've been through a lot of cold winters with no trouble.
Just pour some alcohol in with your fluid, and you don't have to worry about it freezing.

How cold did it get there, and what do you use for washer fluid??
Even the el-cheapo brands of washer fluid from Walmart or whereever are rated to ~-35 celcius (around the same Fahrenheit) and I've never had it freeze ever in the Great White North...

Would that be Rum or Vodka?

Gotta be Vodka, you can't let good rum go to waste by just squirting it out again..
