For those people in Ottawa, Montreal'ish areas

I am sick of not knowing anyone on these boards, I could check the list of whose from where but im too lazy...Heres the thing, I am being sent overseas to Kandahar in Aug of 2006, a long time away you say...well not really. I have a ton of training to do between now and then so I will be busy, not to mention I have kids so finding time is really really hard now. I want to organise a get together some weekend, not a meet per say. I am willing on one of my free weekends to meet with people around the fore mentioned areas. I will get further dates soon...so this is just a feeler right now.

I have two weekends a month off, and usually spend one of them in Ottawa (in fact, I'm there now) so give some notice and I'm up for anything.

I have a friend who is about to finish his training in Meford who is going to afghanistan in August 06, just as a side note.

1. Mapping and Charting - doing the geo work for the hard workers over here.
2. Cash- Some for rims, (wife and ex-wife lookin at the rest) but not bad.
3. Been on boards since 2002. Just not a post-whore. lol

I would go May'ish just for the weather. That would be good for the first one, than after that once the days are really good, a weekend cruise here and there would be nothing to arrange. I dont put my rims on till 1st-2nd week of May depending on the weather, and as long as there is no snow along the road. I had em on last year 1st week of May and I dont want anyone to see my car without em on.

Woops my bad, I will be in Wainwright (Alberta) from mid Apr to mid May on a training exercise, so that would be out of the question for me, perhaps June...Man I hate my job sometimes.

I was joking about the 16th, that's Hyundai in the Hills. I'm back and forth to Ottawa 8 times in the spring/summer for different weddings that I'm attending/in. Either I can be flexable with my dates, or we can have a couple of get togethers. Just let me know what dates work best for you.

ALSO If there's anyone in Ottawa that has nothing to do on Boxing day while the women in their lives shop...let me know and we can get together for an hour or so.

I just found this thread about Ottawa.
My first city for study abroad was Ottawa, and I had my ESL and majors done at Algonquin college and Carleton University in 1996-1999. Then I moved to U.S.

Bank and Altavista.. good ol' place I used to chill when I had my Eclipse GSX.
I was one of the first person to own mitsubishi in Ottawa.
Nice city. I still miss chillin' at market place by Rideau centre.
