Ive had them on my old XD (2002 Gls sedan) too me they looked good from inside the car looking out and from far away... but when you are close (outside) you can see the cheap plasticness of them. Well it also was a plus that i had limo tints... so i guess they mixed well... now I have 35% tints and im not sure if ill do it again... but their functionality is to let you get a small "breeze" in the car while driving in the rain or snow, but you cant crack the window too far down.
Motor Impact has them Rain Guards (http://motorimpact.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=24_30_73&products_id=79&osCsid=900506c046f03a736d032a3df960fcf2)
Heres a pic of my old car with them (kind of dark, but if you zoom in you can see them) http://www.importoverdose.com/MemberRides/ctele02/pic3.jpg

Are we talking about Ventvisors or something similar? (I can't see in the pic). If so, there are two brands available I believe.

Wait so now im confused about what is he talkin about... Do you mean this: Weather Shield Car Cover (http://www.autoanything.com/products/product_gnn.aspx?p_id=1007&se=weathershield_car_cover)
Or the vent visors/rain guards that i was talkin about before...
Cuz i thought his vague description of "plastic on door frame" meant what i was talking about.... maybe a description of "huge tarp over the car" would go with the weather shield car cover
Ya sorry for the pic... can't really take any more new ones but you can see if youre able to copy/paste it to a program where you can lighten or contrast the image.

im pretty sure he meant the visors. my mom has them on her escape and i like them on that, but to me they dont look good on an elantra. if you just like functionality they are great if you need some fresh air in the rain or even snow.

IMO, they look fine and they serve their purpose.
Thanks, guys. I mean the ones that start at the mirror and are about 2 or so inches wide, not those lil ones that just go on the top of the door only ( Korean spec) What I am mostly interested in is do they lessen the incredible wind roar one experiences when the window is wound fully down? Its gotta help, surely..

I find that they reduce noise somewhat but use mine so that I can leave the windows cracked open when parked and not worry about rain getting in.
I have the stock Hyundai ones (about CAN$90 installed) They don't look cheap and run almost continuously from front to back - very thick material.
I am on vacation in VA now and don't have my car for pics.

I have the Side Window Deflectors from http://www.weathertech.com/store/prodsearch.asp?item_group_id=4 They work really well and they don't have that cheap and ugly sticker tape look of the other brands of side window deflectors have because they go straight into the run channel. They don't interfear with window movement, look very clean and like they were ment to be their all the time. They don't decrease noise at all but they do alow me to have my windows open a crack during the summer and not have to worry about rain getting in while driveing nor parked. Here is a pic of my car with them installed.http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=3789&stc=1

I want to add, make sure you get the ones for the Sedan, because the rear window is different on the hatch.
