Well do you have a company lined up that is quality and willing to mass produce these? Heres a thread way back when evofusion got interest for one... but i think didn't follow through with it. http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4341&highlight=carbon+fiber

I would if the price is right. I'd just have to paint it..

the majority of the weight of the hatch is the glass and probably anything that you replace it with isn't DOT approved.

Yes im sure the safety issue is the reason you will never see a C/F hatch trunk on a daily driver (unless custom)... a sedan trunk is more likely since its not directly a part of the interior cabin.
Well better yet to see a difference, if youre at a track... just remove the whole hatch and window assembly, be a scientific ricer and compare your times with and without it for TRUE weight reduction.

^ ^ ^ that sounds good, especially considering how much a one-off hatch is likely to cost even BEFORE we start talking about freight. Honestly, I'd love a carbon hatch, but if I have enough money to do that I'd'a bought a Mazda6 V6 hatch or a 9-2x or something in the first place. ;)

It would have to be $600-1000 for a quality one with a Lexan replacement window. Good luck.

Here is a thread on NT http://www.newtiburon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48767
I guess Flyride is making COMPLETE C/F body kits for tiburons. So your best bet would be to first find a ready buyer group and contact Flyride (i believe hes on this site as well)
