Yeah, $7 max I think.

Especially if Mike got the shifter button for less than $4 over here.

I think I read somewhere that you can get the button from the Sanat Fe or some other model from in the states without having to import it.

The Santa Fe button that was being talked about was the button for the auto shift knob.

I'd pay $10 shipped for an OEM chrome e-brake button. However it's my understanding that if you want the button, you have to buy the entire handbrake assembly.

There's a chrome button on the ebrake of the Santa Fe as well. I ordered it, but must have wrote down the wrong part number or something, because that's not the part I got. Anyway, I think I'll track down something in the U.S. for < $5, before I pay $10-$15 for the KDM version.

The handbrake button on the Santa Fe has a larger, more round button that won't fit XD handbrakes. 10 shipped isn't that much

I agree. It's a matter of paying for convenience, rather than, say, the cost of the part. Considering I've paid $13 in shipping alone for things sent to me within the US, I have no problem footing ten bucks for something from Korea.

i think chrome is gaudy. Probably why I flated blacked my grill and h on the back and debadged.

I just put the chrome trunk sill on the back this past weekend. I love the look.

I knew a guy once who went overboard with it, chrome has to be in small amounts, and then it's class...at least to me.

Hey awesome, thanks for posting! Oh, wait, the title of this thread isn't "How many people wouldn't buy a chrome e-brake button." Never mind. *nudge* ;)

A little bit of chrome here and there is nice, but it is a matter of personal taste (or admitted lack thereof, in my case, muahaha)

Hey vsolo, maybe we both should have a chat with KDMguy -- check out the thread he started here (http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12062&page=1&pp=20).

The Sonata I drove had a chrome e-brake handle button. I tried pulling it off before I returned it but had no luck.

I'd buy the e-brake button if: it fits the 01-03, is sold separatly and is around $10.

What happened to this?

Did anyone ever get this piece?

ghrpdx

I checked into it and the chrome piece from the other vehicles was not the same shape. Something along the lines of ... ours is round, the chrome one is squared off ... or vice-versa. I still want a chrome e-brake button, though!

murda-c

is it a drift button?

Slapshotman7

If you can drift a FWD then...

no, it would be a emergency brake button.
