going kind of ricy on the inside of the car. going with custom lighting. buying box loads of LED's(maybe) and resistores. im going to try it out see how much in all it will cost me with shipping and stuff. its about $16 for 100 LEDs on ebay(the bright ones) thats with shipping. and the resistors are about 10-12 bucks for 500, 220 ohm resistors. i dont know if i need 220 ohm resistors but yea ill look into it and see. ill update later.

Cool idea man, I am a big fan of LED lighting and have thought of different custom lighting plans with LEDs before, I just have never acted on those those ideas yet.nevermind being "ricey", you,re inventive, good luck with your project.

if this works out nicely im considering making ground efects for my car. jrobobly just blue but might even make multi colored depending on how hard and how many LEDs need to be used. like i said im in the planing stage havent bought any yet but i will soon. its dirt cheap.

ok test one done. made a cheapy led flasher like you would make in like 2nd grade or something but still kind of cool. cost us like 3 bucks or so. next we will do a sewuencer or something still dont know. ill take pics of it tomorrow.

most of them wont be on while driveing the cops around here are dicks so yea. theres just gunna be for mine and others viewing pleasure.

sorry forgot all about this thread. i installed a few (4) leds in my trunk to try them out(there apc led's havnet gotten around to making my own) need more but its cool. i got my soldering down pretty good. so now all i need to do is come up with an idea of where i want to put some LED's and make some and put them there. any ideas.

under the front doors wired to the door marker light, so when you open the door the ground below you is illuminated. i did this i love it and it always turns heads.

I had that same idea. I was thinking of ways to do it when there was a post about using christmas light leds. I was thinking of using 5 leds at dif. angles and making an arc of light in the arc of the door on all 4 doors. I don't think it would like rice at all.

howabout under the dash instead of using neon tubes. same for areas of the center console. you can also illuminate the grill of the car much the way doohickie did.

already did my grill. just went to auto zone picked up 2 interiore lights (cabim.dome lights.)water proofed them and put blue bulbs and put them behind my grill. ran a switch in to the cabin and yea theres pics up in my member profile post thing. no pics of the lights yet. and i rewired everything i just need to post the new pics when i wake up.
