Hey folks.......long time no post. I've been traveling a good deal.
I know this question has been answered in many threads in the past.....but I'm looking for the most current information please.....as well as your opinions.
my head light lamp died today..........which kind do you reccommend for an 03' elantra 4 door GLS........that is also white as white can be? I'm looking for the whitest white.......and I'm sorry to say that I am so out of the loop I would appreciate if you can tell me what type of light to get (part #) and where.
Thanks in advance.

I agree they are white/white
i have Sylvania Cool Blue still.. still enjoying those.. and no they arent really blue they're white.

you could always just look on ebay or something and get those $10 bulbs... i think a few people here have them and are really happy with them

I'm trying to remember what a few folks here were talking about back in July but I can't find the thread. Someone was swearing by another brand and said they out whited and out lasted all others. A few people bought them on his word, and loved them.

Roadmax Metal Whites (I got mine from Lightlens.com) are very nice. Much whiter than the Silverstars, and much less expensive. The light they throw is pretty pure white. No yellow, just a tiny hint of blue. One thing to be aware of, though, is that the white/blue lights rock in good weather, but are actually worse than stock lighting for visibility in the rain/snow/fog. Everyone else here seems to be happy with the Sylvania Silverstars, and I have to agree. They are a nice compromise. (I had some in my wife's car.) They are brighter and whiter than stock, but still yellow enough to do well in inclement weather.

Don't waste your money on Sylvania Cool Blues. It's an inferior product to the Sylvania Silverstars. The silverstars aren't even pure white, so I have no clue how Sylvania can market the Cool Blues as being blue. They're even more yellow than the Silverstars. For $15, the Syl. CB's are a total waste of money.
It sounds as if you're just interested in the white "HID" look. Your cheapest option would be to just get a pair from eBay. I don't know how often your bulbs have blown out on you, but it's a fairly common occurrance for many of us and my suggestion would be to just save your money and stick to the OEM Sylvania/Osram bulbs. If you have to have that white color, then I would suggest Uneek's HID kit, which will be much brighter than stock and you'll finally have the look of real HID's.

I bought a pair of Halo's 4500K H7 bulbs a couple of weeks ago off of Ebay. Haven't had a problem with them since. They're also the closest to white that i've seen. 4000k - 6500k is white in my opinion, though I haven't seen any above 5000k that are direct plugin.
Well....I just recently bought a pair of XD5 5800 k headlights from globalpremier.com, and I am quite happy with them. THey are exactly what I was hoping the Silverstars would be. They are white, with a hint of blue. As for the adverse weather, it is true. It is alot harder to see with these, so the fog lights help alot. I am ectually in the process of switching the fogs out to 3500 K, which should help out some more. The lights are only like 12 bucks, and worth giving a shot.
