I never did mention that I bought the tripe hole nozzles for my elantra.......and the suck. did anyone else notice this too? I thought the two hole stock nozzels were much better. these things squirt water on the lower thrid of my windshield.....the old ones covered it.
I was expecting more from them.....I dunno.
I recently rented a chrystler 300 while I was deciding what my next car is.......and the freakin windshield washer nozzels on that thing hit the ENTIRE windshield in a real thick mist.........similar to light rain.......
I wonder if I got those nozzels and tried them......or possibly the little hyundai pump stock pump would not allow them to work.
I noticed my triple dooper squirters that I got from Kspec shot a lil low, however I find now that the faster you are going the more sense this starts to make. I still think they are cool. However those Chrysler squirters have me intrigued.... I want...

I have the triple nozzles and had to adjust them to get the coverage that I wanted. I used a thumbtack/pushpin to do the adjusting :)

I also had to adjust mine with a pushpin. Once you have it aimed correctly I think they work better than the 2 way nozzles.

You can't just pop them on and expect them to be perfect - you do have to aim them to make sure you get coverage of the entire window. Sick a pin (tumbtack or pushpin works great) into the 'squirter hole' and adjust each one as necessary.

Yup, spent about 20 minutes adjusting the spray on mine.
My Trailblazer had the sprayers thad did a mist, and they suck at highway speed. You have to use 1/2 the resivoir to get the window wet enough to do anything.

I remember my one friend adjusted the back sprayer on his car so it would shoot at cars that were following too close behind him. :D

My friend, first guy I knew from Montreal, even before I moved here, taught me this. My fronts are adjusted so at highway speeds, the fluid just reaches the top of the windshield. That way, some overspray always makes it over the car and covers the windshield of anyone following too close. I like it!
I'm gonna get the triples soon, and might aim the "extra" 2 nozzles close to the top too, or maybe even over the car :)
Unfortunately, though, once I was a passenger with a friend with my window open, and some idiot at a stop light was on my right and he had his nozzle poorly aimed so that it totally missed his windshield and fired off the the left, right through my window onto me. I think he did this on purpose too...

I did that one time in my moms escort wagon.I managed to install them facing each side and let em go at low speeds and at lights. That was funny back in the day.Now that im a little wiser and anal about my car,I wouldn't do it again to anyone

I have yet to get the 3-way nozzles ... my 02's suck they shoot one blob of water in one spot and the wiper blade spreads only in one direction. So you have to spray once while the blade is moving right, once past the spray point you spray again so the return blade movement spread it to the other side too !!
What retard designed that?
Brad
Thats the good thing about the 05 model,it comes with the 3 way nozzles. It dont matter to me though,I rarely use the washers anyway.

Are the 05 nozzles a direct plug in for earlier XD's too ? That'd make it an easy JY find!

Super, you may want to add a step 6, adjusting the stream with a pin since some don't seem to know they are adjustable.

I hear ya regarding directing the nozels........which I did. I guess I just expected more from them.
I think I'm just spoiled now after using the washers on the Chrysler 300.....I definetely have to find out why they kick so much ***...either because of the pump or the nozzels......and If I implied they sprayed a nice "mist" that aint the case.......those nozzels on the 300 THROW h20 all over every corner of the windshield like a hard rain in 01 second...I'd venture to say at least a half pint per squirt...and it was consistant on both normal and hwy driving/speeds.
I think this is my next mod.....searching for the perfect pump/nozzel combo. Living in FL.......and now on the windy east coast........sand makes windshield washing a must every 15 minutes.

Way to exaggerate... So our fluid tanks hold, what, a gallon? 4 qrts to a gallon, 2 pints to a quart, so you get a total of 16 washes. It wouldn't last a 5 mile drive when it's slushy/melty, unless the 300 has a washer tank the size of our gas tank.

no xaggeration, drive one....you'll see what I mean. the fluid tank is huge in the 300. I was thinking of using that rather large space we have (in the 03 anyway) to mount a much larger, or secondary fluid tank.

You can also use a toothpick, if nothing else.
For those who want to know how they come from the factory on the '05's, the top of each sprayer shoots at a point about 6 inches below the windshield molding at the top and basically straight at the windshield.
The Outside holes shoot to about 6inches away from the edges of the windshield about halfway down the windshield. The inside ones shoot about 8 inches up from the wipers and in almost a straight line.
Now, this is only my assumption that this is the way they come from the factory. I've never adjusted the nozzles, and both shoot the same way, just symmetrically opposite each other.
In case anyone was wondering...
watch using a toothpick the tip can break off in the hole

That's true, it can break off. But do it when the nozzles are dry, and also, it doesn't require a lot of pressure to re-aim the holes.

I'm guessing your motors are worn out, or you have a weak electrical system. How old is your car, and do you have a sound system sucking up power?
If double AND triple nozzles suck, what would you propose are better (since just about every car I can think of has at least double nozzles).

haha, yeah. I guess nobody told my car either. My elantra has among the best washer nozzle and motor systems that I've had in a car before. Not the best (I've driven around 45 different makes and models, there are a couple that were a little better), but definately the best that I've owned. I've got no complaints, so you might want to see why yours are so crappy droppedlikewoah!

^^^ I'm betting you have either a worn-out/bad motor, or bad connection to the motor (typically ground). Since you seem to be about the only one with slow wipers, I'm thinking it's a problem on your car and not the entire model line. My wipers are fast on both my Hyundais, faster than any of the previous GMs that I (or my parents, going way back) owned. Check your grounds, then if you're still under warranty make the dealer take a look at it.

the only thing that i seem to complain about with my wipers is when they are on fast, i think they should go a little faster other then that i guess there ok. i will check out the ground tommorow.

I drove my boss's Cadillac SRX for about 5 hours yesterday and because it had snowed the night before I was constantly using the washer spray. It was pretty much perfect, it shot a spray all across the windshield and it worked great. Of course, the nozzles on it are a lot larger than on our cars (looks ok for an SUV/large crossover).

Ok, just picked my washer nozzles up. There are two different part numbers, they look identical and there is only 1 digit difference. I am going to assume that there is no difference and just throw them in if I don't get an answer in around 5-10 minutes.

If there is any difference at all (I don't think there is) it would be that the base of the unit is curved slightly different to match any curve on the hood. I don't think this is the case, however, and is probably a difference for manufacturing purposes only.

Follow-up............my hyudai dealer also sells chrysler so I ordered two of the chrysler 300 nozels....which by the way have a slit on them.......rather than round holes. The parts guy did not have any info on them......but I'm certain they will not fit out of the box......I may have to drill the holes bigger, and I may even have to get a more powerful pump motor......although I doubt it.
apparently all the new massive mist nozels have these new
"slits" in them rather than the holes.......and I'm thinking that's the difference that I'm looking for, that I saw on the chrysler 300.

HOLY RESURRECTION BATMAN!
I think I might order me some of these and give them a try. I noticed them on the new Hyundai commercial and wondered, why don't I have 3!!!

The New Honda Odyssey has mist nozzles too. They are not a slit, but rather a ring, like they took the slit and curved it into a circle. They do work great though.
