Hello guys.
First of all, "New Tiburon" is called "Tuscani" in Korea just like "Elantra" is called "Avente XD".
So I just dropped off my car 2days ago to rebuild my motor and change the turbo on my car. Going for little smaller but still makes around 400-500whp.
I took some pictures to share with you guys since we have the same 2.0 engine. My engine block even says "XD 2.0" on it.
Enjoy.

Oh almost forgot..
Your orders such as "Chrome button side brake pulls" are on the way, and I should get them in couple of days. I wanted to take good picture of them before I do GBs on them. So stay tuned...
Thank you

i agree the hyundai elantra is now the cheapest and seems to be one of the easiest to tune cars in this country, but the focus of tuining in this country is still unfortunatly with the honda's and what not. your setup looks great though kmd guy.

I am driving my moms car.
Everything should put together by wednesday but my car will be sent to a racing team to do a full 10point roll cage.
Car will be sitting in the racing team for a while and engine will be on whole time so new hardware breaks in.
After some driving and break-in, we will put on dyno early january.

More..
I believe that cheap mean less quality or no quality at all.
You get what you pay for, so I have been saving up money and spent everything at once so I don't have any headaches and problems with fitment and quality. The most importantly performance.
That's what I am going to be offering to you guys, not some cheap no quality products. No quality means No sell to me.

how much does a set-up like this cost (in american $ if you can). i know its more accessable in korea, but its still gotta be an arm and a leg.

the exhaust is JDM y0!.
i see it on a lot of WRX/STi's, and like that on some evo's. you see it a lot more over seas, then the true "gotta be JDM" kids over here.

Since I have a partnership and partially own a shop here in Korea, I don't really pay any labors. However, parts are pretty expensive.
If we do produce a kit like my spec, it will go over $10000 for sure :)
That's including all the gauges, cat-back, suspension, etc.

Not really.
There are a lot of factories here that manufactures Titan/Carbon products here and send them over to Japan. Basically, they get orders from Japanese company such as HKS, Volk Racing, and whatever.
So the quality is basically the same but different brand.
My exhaust is also Korean made.
ditto...I never understood why so many exhausts end up mounting sideways as yours looks. Is it just the only way it can be mounted?
Once you go under you car you will figure it out.
There are a lot of blocks and things that your piping should not touch. Plus if this car was off road only, I wouldn't even bother putting any cats or such a long pipeline.
lol thats more than what i paid for my xd!
Yeah man. But it will be the same thing to any other Japanese cars getting boosted right will cost the same like civics and integras.
Trust me man.
Once you have right things on your car, you don't have to worry about anything. Once you go with something that is inexpensive, that will cause a big problem in the future that make you spend even more money (chaning the whole engine and such) than buying a right products at once.
You do everything right, that costs ya!

KDMguy, I have to ask. What are you using for cams for your boosted engines? I am a lover of big cams and would like to employ a set of 272 or 280 degree cams in a turbo setup. I know that boosted applications have been using upwards up 280 cams for years, but people here (and other forums) are sceptical of their performance. Got any advice?

Hello
The most popular cam set up is 270/270 or 268/272.
Mines are 270/270 and they are known for a good high end power, and they are kinda pricey. I bought mine used, and they were in good condition.
If you want a set I could get a used one for around $800 shipped instead of paying a brand new set for over $1200.
Let me know.
Anyways,
Bumper is on.
Intercooler, wastegate and intake piping is done
still waiting on few parts to finish it.

what are you doing about the transmission?
the elantra transmissions have a tendency to grind the gears, are you going with coated synchros or what?

What tendency to grind gears?
I have no problem and never heard about it.
Tranny might break due to its power someday, then I will take it to the next stage.

Eh wouldn't you want to make sure you are at the right stage now... what if it breaks in a REALLY important moment... or would you make sure not to push it all the way?

I swear we can install bolt on or small turbo kits and dyno tune it, ready to drive a car in 15hours. Mine was a different story tho since I had to use a lot of custome made parts.
I have invested about $10k..
Hopefully it was worth it

Yes, there are 2 BOVs. I wanted it loud so we put two in there. :D
Differential is stock, and torque steer is always there for FF cars.
However, skilled driver can control torque steer especially @ drag events.
I've been driving turbo tiburon for a while, so I am used to controlling it
