if you were thinking of buying from evofusion read this first!!

my car was in an accident on october 6th 2005. i found a good body shop that would install a body kit for me. i decided to order the r-34 kit from evofusionusa. i found the kit on their ebay store and ordered it that week. i called evofusion

twice a week to check on the status of my kit, because i was told that it was not in stock and that they were awaiting delivery from the factory.

three weeks pass of hearing "yes it will ship tomorrow, you should be getting a tracking number in your email." then when things start to go into the fourth week they tell me that they are shipping my bumpers and that the sideskirts will be shipped shortly after and they will use a more expediant service.

four days later i get my bumpers. the next day i get a call from the body shop telling me that the front bumper will not fit, and that i should call them and come down there and take pictures to send to them.

i try to call evofusion and apparently the entire staff takes the whole week off for the sema convention and the only way to reach them is through email. so i blow up their email account for the entire week.

then on friday someone gets back to me to say that they need to send my pics to the factory and have those guys look at them and also that they have seen worse molded bumpers that shill fit on the car.

so after three messages from them telling me that they should fit and to try and bend the edges to fit, i call and dispute the order on my credit card and then with ebay.

a month or so later i finally talk to someone who halfway agrees that i am right. he then begins to tell me how the bumper they sent me is from a mold at one of their chinese factories and that these are the first bumpers that they have recieved from them. at the same time he tells me that they have sent out two other of these bumpers and have heard no complaint.

he finally agrees to send me a new front bumper one he says he knows will deffinatly fit, because they tested the bumpers from this mold and it is made here in the US with a fiberglass that is more flexable than the one that i recieved. then i bring up the question of my side skirts. i am told that they are being shipped dirrectly from the factory and i should have them the same time as the bumper.

two weeks later the parts finally arrive. i am told by the body shop owner not to drop the dispute since i have already had so many problems and to wait until the kit is on with no problems to drop it. (makes sense)

the body shop owner tells me that the kit is the poorest quality that he has ever seen. it litterally took one guy working on it 20 hrs to get it to look decent. they get both bumpers on and guess what. the friggen sideskirts don't fit right. it has already cost me 1500 to put this kit on without the friggen side skirts on now. im told the sides are gonna cost me another 2-300 because they fit so great.

on top of all this i get a nice email from them today about the dispute:

For some reason, there has been a chargeback placed on the body kit you recieved by the credit card. Im sure this was probably a mistake on your part that you were not aware of. Please call your credit card company right away to reverse that chargeback. If it is not reversed in the next 72 hours, a paypal fee will go through that will charge us a portion of money for the chargeback. As per our policies chargebacks are not permitted, and when one is done, the customer is responsible for any charges that are associated with the chargeback, thus if it goes through, you will be responsible for any fees that paypal charges. ill tell you now, i do collections, and with the small amount of business they do, they do not go thru a collections agency. it would be worthless to try to collect 53$ from you, unless they send hundreds of accts a month to collections. but if they do, they may try to pop you for collections cost.

my car sat at the body shop for two friggen months....i made two months worth of car payments and insurance payments on something i could not drive because of friggen evofusion. they can lick my *** if they want that money. i will drive there and take them to small claims court before they get anymore money from me. im thinking of paying for a site just to trash evofusion. this kind of crap should never happen to anyone else. they really should not be in business.

Thats BS about the quality of the kit, what do they mean by "the factory"... you say they either make the kit here in the US or in China... and both came out crappy... and its very odd that they sold you a kit that did not exist at the time... and they lied about the shipping. Well some proof to make your story mint is maybe some Pics of those bumpers.

i leanred my lesson on body parts too, if its not from korea or the us then dont buy it, i bought a body panel and the plastic wheel well guard thats under the fender and it fits like sheot, and looks incredibly getto...and it said made in china when i thought it was an oem part

yeah they pulled the same "it'll be shipping in a week" thing on me for awhile and they said all they needed was for the shipment to go thro customs. i don't understand how it takes a long *** amount of time for a package to go thro customs. i'm unlike those people that don't like SR i don't like evofusion at all. my first order with them went great than my other was horrible and i'm an impatient person as it is so waiting like 4 weeks to get my stuff really pissed me off. i called them everyday for a week and a half to see the status and you know what happened? i finally got my stuff... IT JUST DO HAPPENED TO BE THE DAY I HAD TO MOVE INTO COLLEGE!!!! so i didn't get it for another week... anyway yeah evofusion annoys me

When the kit first came out I got the first front bumper. I had the same issues before any work was done to it. A lot of modification will have to be done to make this kit fit. It just won't be perfect. At least you don't have to do it all over again like I have to.

Well, my stuff took like a month or more to ship.. and they shipped the front bumper, next day or 2 days later, the side skirts.. then like 2 weeks later the rear bumper. I don't have a clue what they look like or how they fit though.. since I'm over 'here' and the parts are in FL. And my friend hasn't called me yet to tell me what the bodyshop says. The only way I got tracking #'s from them was when my friend would call them.. and then call again.. and again. I think the 3rd call each time is when I got tracking #'s. THey kept saying 'You'll have them by the end of today' Or it'll be shipped today, and if not, by tomorrow. and we'll send you tracking #'s as soon as it ships. :P I didn't order the crap until they said they actually had 10 in stock either.

Thanks for reminding me again why I shouldn't buy from them, and I hope your dispute gets resolved quickly and you have your body kit and everything in good condition. You definitely should take them to small claims court, in fact you can do so right now. The body shop is charging you for the extra work that needed to be done, which could have been avoided in the first place. If you won, not only would you get the money for your kit back but also the damages (aka extra labor charges) and possibly some more compensation. Since its well over $1000 worth of damage, it MAY be worth it. Consult a lawyer and just ask them about it, some listen to you for free to see if they'll take the case or not.

anywhere but evofusionusa. the best is what ever you like. whatever you think will make your car shine. if my car was not in an accident i prolly would have gone with a lip kit. besides the r34 i put on my car i like the genus full body kit. if you are interested in the r34 sharkracing sells them as well. i wanted a number of things from evofusion but they will never see a dime of my money and i will never get my evo 5 spoiler completely out of spite.

I have the same front bumper as you . Also from evofusion. IT IS CRAP! My autobody guy said the same thing, that it's the worst that he has seen. The gaps are so big in spots that I can stick my finger in there. Let me know how the chargeback and the small claims court goes. Maybe I will get in on that with you.

I didnt get my stuff as soon as they said, but i didnt have a problem. my tib intake that was late had some free goodies because it was late. oh wait that was my camshafts, same order anyways. my cuda two kit fit fine for the price. what do you want for 750, veilside quality? especially considering the MPS kit they copied was like the worst tib kit ever. they did a nice job fixing it and making it fit better. now im not saying brad is the nicest of folks, I had a few arguments with him, but they offer alot of stuff that no one else does. especially considering the lack of sources we have. I thought getting stuff for my tib was hard. try an 06 elantra! but patience is a virtue, and the tuner movement started this was for every car, even hondas. now thats not to discount the people that have had problems, cause I've heard them all. I just think people need to remember the situations that all hyundai tuners face and should lighten up a little. If you want 20,000 products to choose from, go buy an 06 civic. the market is already swamped.

You know, sooner or later brad will get it right or he wont have a business. But Im not gonna limit myself to three or four items cause he got a little rude with me. He's human too.

And after they said the first one got damaged, the second one lost, and the 3rd stuck in customs.. they're only shipping it ground. So it shipped on the 8th it says, and won't arrive until the 15th.

Still no word on the rear bumper. I want it to come in too so I can get it installed and the car repainted again.

I got my grill 2 weeks after it shipped.. But it didn't ship for over 4 months.
I had to reorder the rear bumper because DHL won't pay for damages since they weren't reported for over 15 days. (I was out of the freaking country)
I got a tracking # for the rear bumper this morning. It's supposed to be delivered Thursday. I can't wait to be finished with waiting on parts from EF.

That is probably due to DHL.I ordered the strut bar from EF and it was shipped out within like 2 days I believe, but delivery sucked scroats.

It's not DHL... they don't ship stuff for a long time. Once it does ship, DHL gives a tracking number within a couple days too, so you know exactly when it shipped and how long it's taking. In your case, you might have got lucky and it shipped right away, but still... my stuff took weeks to months before it even shipped.

no i don't expect perfection its just that when i call them and they say that is is the same product that they offer on their site for 300 more i expect it to be the same. i have no doubt it is the same. imagine how pissed i would have been if i had paid more money and recieved the same product. its just rediculous.

oh and when i order something that is somewhat fragile i expect for it to be wraped that way so that i don't have to pay a body shop 200 off the bat just to fix and repair all of the edges that got chipped off.

oh and skeet i hope everything works out. i would have canceled the grill and went oem myself before waiting as long as you have. good luck though.

I bought the chrome interior kit from Evofusion. The parts fit allright.. not like magic, nor like trash, but the 3M adhesive they had on the pieces was craptacular. And shipping took almost 4 weeks.

Meanwhile I ordered a wood kit from autoaccessorystore.com and the shipping on that took under a week. Ordered my old man's wood kit the following week, and only about 4 days to ship that. So half the time for double the deliveries from autoaccessorystore.com, and they worked better than the stuff from Evofusion.
