let me clarify this i mean the metal petals that go over the pedals of the car. the racing ones, that are silver.....they have a rubber sleeve that fits over the car pedals but it doesnt fit for the acceleration..

Uhm, did you read the link he sent you to?

If you decide to get the tib pedals for your ride, you will need to go to your local dealership and order a gas pedal assembly for an '01-03. The gas pedal in the 04 is totally rectangle and very thick. The tib pedal is sort of diamond shaped and very thin. Also, the 03 pedal does not swivel like the 04. So, in short, spend an extra 20 bucks so your metal gas pedal will fit properly.

It addresses your problem. You might want to pay attention to it. You get the Tib gas pedal on by replacing the gas pedal linkage.

I know what you mean, it sucks - that's been holding me back for a year and a half now, I just didn't want to be bothered. I'll do it eventually, it'll be worth it. :)

There is another way.

Cut the gas pedal to fit. And then if it doesn't stay on perfect then use superglue or similar.

That's how I plan on doing it.

^I used epoxy. Just cut the lip part of the new pedal that holds it on so it fits flush. Tons of epoxy and clamped on over night, hasn't fell off yet.

I used gorilla glue on mine, but it fell off... I don't think I clamped it long enough though.

I swapped my gas pedal with my mechanic who owns an 03 and he even put it in for me. My cost? Free.

Moral of the story: Luck out. That's the best way to do it. :)

I put two zip ties between the rubber and steel portions of the accelerator pedal cover. Then I sliped the cover as best as I could over the OEM pedal and tightend the zip ties around the OE pedal while trying my best to keep the bulky part of the zip tie behind the OE pedal and not interfearing with the pedal travel. In the end the cover isn't perfectly straight but it holds on tight and doesn't move! Best of all No glue, no $ spent on a '03 accelerator linkage, and can be reversed just by clipping a couple ties!

All 01-03s do that. You can't go full throttle unless the floormat is taken out from under it.
