Well my headlights were foggy as hell. They actually looked like a nasty dirty yellow. Well my friend told me to use tooth paste and OMG WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Here's what I did:

1. spray windex on the headlights and clean them
2. then get a little more windex just top wet the headlights
3. Get some toothpaste and scrub it with my hands (Quite thoroughly)onto the headlight
4. Spray just a little more windex to get it wet and dry it with a dry paper towel
5. Clean your headlights again with windex...

My lights don't look like they did out the factory but you can actually see the inside of my headlights perfectly now..lol

So if anyone else has yellowish cloudy headlights, try this...i'll see if I have some before pics to show you guys...

Well a better way to clear up yellowing is to rub metal polish on headlights then put plastic polish on them to refinish them.

The real question is... what brand of toothpaste works best? ;)

There couldn't really be any other way that they got clean...as in the three + times that you used windex?

jfwy, I believe the toothpaste thing. In the search for which brand works best, which one did you use?

super whitening probably has a bleaching agent in it... probably explains why they don't look yellow now....

it's the light abrasives that do it... that why a metal polsih would work good too :)

why don't you guys just pop out your headlights and bring them into your dental office for a whitening?

Politically incorrect? - I wonder what our female members will think if you tell them to pop their headlights :)

No, you need to find some toothpaste for smokers. They usually guarentee to get rid of the yellow!

If you guys want some brighter headlights, you can use Crest Whitening strips. You'll have to drive around town with the film on for 30 mins a day for 7 days. It only needs to be repeated once or twice a year! :)
