I was just wondering if anyone recalls that the "Full" Tomato Kit (http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11740) for the XD2 comes with eyelines. Now they are available individually at www.Sharkracing.com (http://www.sharkracing.com/acecart/bin/shop.cgi?action=view&itemID=eyeline-newxd&cate=010401000)
I like em, but they are pretty pricey (92+shipping) since these are Fiberglass and prepainted. Some pics:

I'm wondering if I should go with these OR get the ones from www.Dreamka4u.com (http://dreamka4u.com/m_mall_detail.php?ps_ctid=02000000&ps_goid=53&PHPSESSID=c259f39f2932d7d893cb71fd26dcfd8f) with possible underlid as well (for 52shipped unpainted):
These are made of ABS Plastic.

On Ilanpro's car from this thread (http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8763) :

They both stick on by 3M tape in the back. Help me decide which one I should go with.

Also when I do choose I'm looking to have them Black to get an aggressive look on my moonlite blue XD2 sedan. (pics of that in my sig link)

Too expensive.
Ugly too.

I think the best eyeline for the XD2 is this one

http://www.stro.co.kr/product/wheel/5319.html

but dreamka won't sell it to me because they say it is too expensive
Manufacturing price is US$65 and if we add something such as benefit,
shipping cost, handling, taxes etc...

It is better to buy other items instead of this eyelines..

I want the ones I linked to!!!!

dreamka4u is NOT FIBERGLASS
its some plastic ****
Ilan will tell u in more detail but its def not fiberglass quality
I too like the top one much much better, it seems to flow with the whole car a lot better
However... i dun think i can dish out 92 dollars for an eyeline
To tell u the truth, even 52 dollars is too much
My dad was able to get the same eyeline (top and bottom) for only 18 dollars in Korea
Unfortunately, we live in the US and dont have much access so i guess the overpricing is inevitable
Good luck with ur purchase

Edit: LOL Keyan, I almost got that eyeline but i figured 60 bux is a bit too much for an eyeline, even if my dad is paying

just curious but what is stopping a person from getting a vinyl place to make some up that match the color? I have got some pretty big vinyl work done for advertising and it was cheap like $80 cdn. So i am sure that eyelines would be next to nothing.

The Eyelines I had were from like ABS material, they will be more durable that the FB ones, also you can shape them to flow better. by cutting them

Light shines through the vinyl thus making them pointless at night (if you actually use them to not blind oncoming cars)

You should tell your dad to pack his suitcase full of them and then bump up the price (below Dreamka4u) and make a killing in the US!

I thought Fiberglass > Plastic. But yes it is true that you can modify them easier since most korean fiberglass comes distorted.. Ill have to ask if modification is necessary.

Good Idea, but I'll try my luck online and if im not satisfied try a DIY or something.

Thats another good reason Fiberglass & Plastic > Vinyl.

i didn't realize that the purpose was to stop from blinding oncoming traffic... i thought is was just a looks issue.... ooops.... :hand:

I'm mostly thinking about the Looks, but see thru Vinyl would look very lame at night is what I mean. Plus Keyan now has HIDs... so hes always gonna blind traffic.

well ralph, i like the first ones you posted...with both the top and bottom eyelids. BUT they don't fit 03's :(

I would think the ABS would be better than fiberglass as well, but because in my head I'm thinking that the fiberglass would be too "thick" and stick off the lights too much. I do like the Tomato ones better than the ones Ilan had though.

Ya I Believe I'm leaning toward the Dreamka4u ones since they give a more "aggressive" look :diablo: , while the sharkracing ones are a "clean OEM" look.

Is there any reason you couldn't just paint eyelines on in any shape you wanted? If you primed black, then color, then clear, you'd overcome the transparency issue, right? I guess I just can't understand why someone would toss $100 on one small plastic piece when they could spend the same money on paint and then have it left over to use on other projects as well.
